Has anyone noticed that their Qualcomm (CDMA) 7/7+ has performed much better in low signal areas? On iOS 11, one bar of coverage in a certain area became very much usable in iOS 12 betas so far. I wonder if it has anything to do with Apple 'fixing' QC modems to be on par with Intel and the recent news about Apple dropping Intel for modems.

Thanks guys. So currently we are on public beta 2. I'll check the build I have later.

In terms of glitches - whereas previously when I selected a notification from the lock screen I wasn't being asked for my passcode and going straight in to the message (major security issue), I now cannot collapse grouped messages. When I click on the group it takes me straight to the passcode screen.

I would report this to Apple via the reporting app, but the reporting app says that apple can then have access to my calendar and mail inbox. Not too sure I want to give away those privileges!!!
Guys, anyone else having this issue? And are you guys risking your data by reporting glitches to Apple?

That would be awesome if they stopped purposely holding back the modem’s power.

I read somewhere that unpairing and repairing again could solve some problems. Someone knows if I can do it being my iPhone on beta program but watch doesn’t?

Anyone else seeing an issue with the Twitter app whereby if you click on someone’s ‘following’ or ‘followers’ count the app locks up requiring a restart?

A major glitch to report - on the Lock screen if I click a notification I am not asked for my 4 digit passcode. I am taken directly to the actual notification. Major security issue. Anyone else getting this?

I thought we were on public beta 3!

No the dev beta is on 3 the public beta is always a number behind.

Just tested this. Mine loads up the list of following or followers just fine (X on PB2)
Thanks, deleted and reinstalling the app appears to have fixed it
Edit: Bug returned when I activated night mode. Turning it off overcomes the issue again. Bizarre

Just installed. I received 2 messages from 2 different senders and they had separate notifications not grouped together. Am I missing something?

If that was your only two notifications on the lock screen it won’t group till either you reach 5 notifications from the same app or a different app sends you a notification.

Not sure if this has been mentioned but notifications going to my apple watch show as phone numbers rather than contact names with iOS 12 beta. Reset sync data fixes it for a couple hours and then it goes back.

Was not an issue on beta 1 or 2.

Is there a way to disable the DND ‘notification’? I don’t need to see it every night.

You can 3D Touch the banner from the lock screen to turn off on nights you don’t need it (once it’s appeared). This will disable it for the current cycle only or you could manage it through ‘bedtime’ within the clock app (rather than settings) by scheduling the days you want to enforce it. This will however result in an alarm being set

I still want DND to be on, I just don’t need to see the notification every night. I’ve managed to survive all these years knowing when DND is on from the status bar icon (and simply the fact I’ve used the same times for a while). It’s just not important enough to me that I need to see it on the lock screen all the time.

It can be cleared, but it’ll appear next time DND is enabled. I’m hoping there’s a permanent switch for this new feature. If not, I’ll suggest it to Apple.

Imo this is more of a ‘Tips’ thing for people unfamiliar with DND.

I believe the banner will stay and no way to not show it the next time...similar to Control Center grabber and the home bar on X. Since iPhone X like this year, maybe they will provide option or remove these in the future when users get use to it.

Same here. Re-pairing, resetting and re-syncing didn't do anything for me.

Is anyone’s else’s Apple CarPlay still having issues?!? Mine would work great until I would get either a call or text and the the music or maps would stop, the screen turns black and then I would need to unplug and replug it many times.

PB1 would disconnect Carplay whenever I put the car in reverse. Working great now with PB2

Sometimes there is only a ringing sound but no prompt showing Accept and Reject buttons etc on the screen when you have an incoming phone call.
Anyone.

Haven’t seen it myself but others have definitely noted it here. You’re not alone. Haven’t seen a specific fix/workaround but the old “turning off it and turning it back on again” routine never hurt anyone. Good chance it will be fixed in the next beta.

Anyone else receiving blank Messages notifications when getting texts with just an image? This happens primarily with SMS users it seems. Notification just shows the senders name and no content. Reported it.

I had this since beta 1 where some SMS show a notification with blank message but if you pull down to respond it’s actually an attached pic.

Finally they fixed the bug when youre listening to music and youre swiping down for notification center. The black box will always build itself up new. Now it stays. Looked weird.
