Deliberately so, I suspect. There are a great many posts about it in this thread and an entire thread devoted to this issue in the iOS 12 forum
Ok I’ll go search the forums for an answer that requires probably one sentence.

This beta has messed up my homekit in control center.

If I go through the Home.app itself, everything looks right, is positioned right and controls the right units.

But through the control center, my favorites are shown in a wrong order. Or at least the wrong units are shown in the wrong places.

Example: one of my living room lights has always been and is still positioned in the middle of the top row in my favorites. But in the control center menu, it shows another lamp there. When I press the button, the right living room lamp turns on, so it looks like only the visual is messed up. But it doesn't update the icon...

And the damned IKEA Trådfri app still crashes in this beta.

Sorry, I was being facetious. basically lots of people had trouble getting a lock on GPS, often relying solely on WiFi location or mast triangulation, which had the potential to land them in trouble when relying on it for navigation on motorways and so on. Nearly everyone is now reporting this is fixed in the latest beta.

Were you playing Pokémon go with the screen cranked all the way up? Then I could see it maybe dropping half that fast. Otherwise no that seems extreme. Remember. Beta. Lots of weird stuff going to happen.

No, I’ve especially disabled Auto-brightness and kept it lower.

What’s bothering me though is I’m seeing background activity for apps that have no Background App Refresh toggle in the Settings app, and they’re also not doing any background activity like Navigation, VoIP calls, file download, etc.

Wonder what background processes they’re even doing.

If you have an app like Adguard, you can see the DNS queries that the iOS device is making and sort of deduce what app is making all of the requests.

Thanki you so much! Yeah I think I was dealing with that and thought it was my hardware. I’ll see how it goes now on the new beta.

A temporary fix for me was to reset my location and network settings but when a beta bug occurred I Had to reset my phone and the gps issue would comeback.

Was pretty annoying. I haven’t restarted my phone yet so I hope the issue has been resolved

GPS had issues
GPS is having issues for me. I'm on the 17th floor of a highrise and had to turn off my Home geofence as I would constantly be woken up at night with the lights blazing or have them turn off while just sitting in front of my computer. Ordering an Uber placed me on the street behind the building, whereas it would correctly place me on my street every time before.

Just installed. I received 2 messages from 2 different senders and they had separate notifications not grouped together. Am I missing something?

Does anyone else have a red notification badge stuck on their settings icon since updating ? I got it for the automatic update and it hasn’t gone away since updating.
Had that too, it was for setting up Apple Pay. Gone after adding a credit card.

Oh wow, that was going to be the next thing for me to try this weekend once I had some time, but I guess you saved me from having to do that. I wonder if there's a common theme? We have iCloud Family sharing on and I'm the main administrator.
Yes, quite annoying :/ I tried pretty much everything, from disabling family sharing to changing my payment method for the App store and nothing works…

Are we supposed to be able to access Google maps in CarPlay yet? Still not showing up for me.

My family can see my purchases on their 11.4 devices but I can't on my 12 beta device (I can see theirs though).

Mine too. If anyone has a way to fix, please let me know. I've already added my cards to Apple Pay previously, so it has nothing to do with Apple Pay for me.
