Well none of my alarms went off this morning, and neither did my wife’s. Anyone else?

The last 3 betas I’ve been having some problems with text input on certain websites and forums.

On iPad Pro, you touch and long touch to select or paste something the magnifying glass pops up empty and the keyboard disappears.

Anyone else noticed it happen?

Here’s an example website, try and paste a number into the tracking number box.

Edit

And once the keyboard disappears it can’t be recalled to manually enter text either, not without refreshing the page.

This beta has been kinda bad for my iphone 8. Crashes and hangs when texting and scrolling twitter. Did not happen on earlier betas. I even tried a clean install after the first bad day. Battery life stinks too. Obviously this may not apply to everyone, but that is my experience.

I tried to use Google maps in my car using CarPlay but can’t find the Google maps icon on the car display.

I found the below link and followed the instructions to enable Google maps but there’s still no icon to click.

Anyone with ideas if this is a bug or if I’m doing something wrong?

it's not available yet. not until full release of iOS 12 (who knows later). That article is dated June 6, 2018. The day apple announced it.

i thought Google Maps has to be updated first?
that too

Very interesting, how each beta seems more buggy than the previous, at least to the average user.
It’s hard to say how the average user feels. People are more likely to join in the conversation here when something is going wrong. Some of us are having a pretty positive experience with this and the last few betas. In any case, I hope the next beta fixes your issues.

Thanks. I thought it was implemented. My bad.

Has anyone noticed app updates not installing or the update ring filling quickly before returning to "update".

This hasn't happened to me until last night and all day today. I've been having to uninstall and reinstall the apps.

Been running beta 6 since release day with no problem until now.

Deleted. See below

I have been having similar problems on my iPad Pro & iPhone X. Both are still on 11.3.1 so I’m blaming the App Store.

When writing this I just remembered my PC version of iTunes was reporting unable to acces App Store apps as well.

I’m in the UK if that has any relevance.

iPhone 7 Plus

When I enter Settings/my iCloud name/iCloud/Manage Storage it crashes the Settings App. All Apple apps are installed. I reported it.

I’ve noticed thru all the betas that my display brightness self adjusts and I need to turn it back up to where I like it at least 5 or 6 times a day. Is this the Apple nanny trying to save my eyes or maybe battery. I don’t need it.

Yes, when there, scrolling down and then up, app settings will crash and after go to home screen and go back again to app settings, it’s all white.

This has been happening to me since yesterday and today all day - and I'm on iOS 11.4.1. I'm only on this forum to lurk and try to decide whether I should try out the beta.

So what you're experiencing is not Beta-related. The App Store seems to be having issues.

Same here. When it crashes, the screen goes black. I click the home button and home screen appears. Eventually allows me back into Settings.

Does anyone else receive a repeated alert about the same new message?

Is that a bug?
You mean double back to back like a stutter or after a few moments? The latter is a setting that may have changed back to repeat if you had that off. I have had the double stutter ding ding at times throughout all the betas from time to time.

Not to state the obvious but.... is auto brightness turned on causing this perhaps? Maybe turn it off (if its on) and see if that helps.

I have found that each night Do Not Disturb at Bedtime turns itself on.
I have DND completely off in settings, but in the morning it will be on and on in control centre, but still off in settings.
