b8 is just as good as b7. I‘m still impressed over battery-saver mode. It‘s back to where it was when introduced - it saves battery really good. In 11.4.1 it nearly made no difference when activated.
Issue is in mail app when is open home button or multitasking lag and freeze for 20 seconds!
The bluetooth icon is not appearing at the top right on my iPhone 8 when bluetooth is activated. Can somene please check if you also have this issue?
That's been the case for a while, and so far no-one has been able to confirm (that I've read, anyway) whether it's a bug or deliberate. For a while, Apple have wanted us to just keep bluetooth on, hence the weird-ish behaviour in the control panel where bluetooth and/or wifi don't really turn off any more. They disconnect some stuff but it's designed to keep things like hand-off, watch, wireless earphones etc still connected and working.
Personally, I keep bluetooth off most of the time, as I perceive leaving it on as a slight security risk, so I want the icon back. But if it never comes back, I don't care enough to complain about it.

Yep, it’s been missing on both iPhone 7 and iPad Air 2 since PB4 for me. In my case, it does not affect the actual Bluetooth connection, though, which works as expected.
Also, with all the new iPhones coming with a notch, perhaps they want to save some space in the bar, so just removed it altogether.
Trust me, You wont regret it. Its as good as the final release. Just go for it.
Did anyone test Apple Pay on Beta 7 and 8? I can see in the changelog that there is something wrong with it and i'm still staying on Beta 6 because i'm using Apple Pay few times a day. Is it working for you or you have problems with it like they've written in the changelog?
This beta is so good nobody has written anything requiring me to write a 5 paragraph post excoriating their position.

I wanted to wait for GM too but I downloaded Public beta 5 2 days ago and PB 6 yesterday and so far , it is much much better than ios 11.4.1 , ios 11 was very glitchy on my iP 8
ScreenTime... finally working (for the most part) as intended, especially for for son's device. I can see his stats almost immediately from my phone and there are no usage indicators when downtime is supposed to have it locked down. (There were repeated instances of him watching youtube right after midnite when the time limits roll over.) You can still adjust time to defeat downtime though. (It was scheduled to end at 7am so at 6:30am I moved time forward to 7:30am and downtime was disabled.) Needs to be an option to make some settings "locked" during downtime, specifically the option to manually set time.

When I use "Screen Time" it's all messed up there- since the early betas. Also, still no Bluetooth Icon when active :-(
Weird because I think it should be there. I mean otherwise you'll have to go into settings - bluetooth just to see if its activated or not =/
Wait for the public release, then update for the security improvements if anything. The speed and performance will not disappoint.
iOS 12 could be named 11.5. There is literally nothing really new on iPhone. People says it’s smooth and fast like never before but honestly I don’t see an HUGE difference like others said on both my iPads. So if you can just wait for the final release. 11.4.1 runs very well on my daily driver phone so it’s not worth it for me to install a beta when there’s almost nothing new.
This beta is nearly perfect. So fast, so smooth, good battery life... wow.
