Yep, I think it would be good to at least have a temporary blink of some sort. For now the quickest way to can see if it’s ON/OFF is by pulling up the Control Center.

I think the share sheet loading instantly makes ios 12 worth it alone

It needs to be iOS 12 because iOS 11 has a really bad reputation. Apple needs to fix their broken reputation as well. So iOS 12 may do that.
I thought 11.4.1 ran well for me until I downloaded beta 8. So smooth, even on an iPhone X. Feels like iOS 6 again.
The public beta is just OTA. To get the IPSW legitimately, you need to be a paid Apple Developer.
In this thread we focus on what Apple is providing us—iOS 12.

True, but you could get public beta OTA then reset all content and settings and it essentially starting fresh.
One of the most noticeable improvements from PB5 to PB6 is the FaceID unlock speed. Practically unnoticeable most times.
My iPhone X is also faster overall - opening apps, switching apps, etc. And though it’s still too early to say for sure, battery life does seem better.

I’ve noticed a “clicking” noise coming from the Taptic Engine when answering a phone call on the iPhone X. It’s almost like the vibration fails to immediately stop once a call is answered then it forcibly stops a bit later making a clicking sound in the process. It’s been happening for these last several betas. Anyone else experiencing this?
The one and only bug I've found (and reported) with this build is star ratings not sticking in the music app.

I’ve used Apple Pay successfully a couple times since installing this beta yesterday. iPhone X.
It’s been really good. Super smooth. Feels like iOS 6 again. Jury is still out on the battery but it seems decent so far.
That has always happened to me (no matter which iOS version) when there’s no cellullar connection when I plug the cord in the phone. Try to move your car and replug the cord when you have good connection. That should solve it.
Releasing something with literally no changes isn’t going to fix their broken reputation though! (OK it’s confusing me to argue from someone else’s incoherent position so I’ll drop it
)
No issues for me. I generally don't update the watch until GM or at least late in the beta. Working as expected.
