It is the same build number. You can put your device in recovery mode and iTunes can download the full IPSW file to update it. Or delete profile, reboot and try to update via OTA.

I'm interested in doing a full backup, either in iTunes or via iCloud, so I can restore to my Xs when it arrives. I assumed I'd need the release version.

Can someone test something for me?

On my iPad when I search in the App Store it looks like this

When I search on my iPhone X it doesn’t show developers or stories.

I’ve tried resetting all settings on the X. Is it just me?

iTunes says I have iOS12 update available but when I click download and update nothing happens. No download wheel in upper right corner, no nothing.. anyone else have an issue with iTunes?

I had that issue with like beta 5/6, but the following beta fixed that. When you select "check for update" in iTunes, does it say you are up to date?

No, after the large banner when iTunes first comes up on the screen and I go to the iPhone screen it says in the box that iOS12 is available, yet when I click on that nothing happens also.. I haven't tried OTA. It even put the restore ipsw's for 11.4.1, iPhone 10.3 and one for 64 bit iPad touchid in the trash

Thats very weird. Maybe iTunes is bugging out because it hasn't been updated. I'm assuming we will get a new iTunes update next week with Mojave.

This has probably been mentioned but there’s a blinking search cursor in the search bar above widgets and Spotlight search. Small change but looks good.

High Sierra is the end of the line for my Mac and it shows no updates for iTunes (only Safari 12) in the App Store
That may be so, but a new iTunes update will likely be compatible with your computer. iTunes updates come alongside macOS updates, not built in.

I hope Waze and Google Maps integrate with iOS 12 soon! Installed fine on my X, hopefully battery life will be okay. Charging to 100% and going to see.

I'm running iTunes 12.8.0, is that not the most recent version?
It is, for now. What I'm saying is, there is likely to be an update Monday with Mojave. Just like every other year. Which very well could fix your current problem.
