iOS 12 - speed and battery life

I try to hold myself until beta 2 which normally the public beta is out by then I think?
You don’t have to wait. It’s easy to get a configuration profile online. Even big youtubers will show you how to do it.
Well, hard to say since I keep charging my phone as much as possible now. But let's say that whereas I previously went through the day (7 AM to 8 PM or so) that has become like half of the day (7 AM to 4 PM or less).
Today I've been running a test by not charging my phone while at work. So far today my battery is at 72% and I took it off the charger at 7:30 am (7 hours).
The new battery stats ARE awesome, but one thing I don't like is that you can only see your battery stats for the last 24 hours or 3 days but not since the last charge. Right now the 24 hour stats are not that useful since I charged a lot yesterday and overnight but it says I used my screen for 4 hour 8 minutes over the last 24 hours and had 23 minutes of "screen off usage" (I guess background tasks or calls on Bluetooth?).

Ok my test is done. 24 hours of usage on iPhone X without a charge and no low power mode either. I’m currently at 10% battery. I had about 3 hours of screen time. Not bad... now how does that compare to iOS 11?
How much screen time did you have? With my X after 24 hours off the charger I was at 10% with normal daily use.

An iPhone X should be at like 65-70% battery left with that usage.

I just ran a test by not plugging my phone in for 24 hours. After 24 hours I was at 10% battery and plugged back in. When I went into the battery app, it said only 3 hrs 19 minutes of screen time an about 45 minutes of off-screen usage (background tasks, talking on bluetooth etc). To me that feels pretty normal as I always charge overnight and I clearly made it an entire day without charging but the 3hrs 19 minutes stat doesn't sound impressive on its own. Not sure what the meaning of that is but I can be a pretty heavy user I guess. Still, beta 1 is fine as a daily diver for me. Your milage may vary.
I don't recall ever being able to go more than 24 hours without a charge, even in iOS11 so battery drain didn't feel abnormal. Apple does say 12 hours of "internet usage" but I wasn't simply browsing the web, I spent 40 minutes playing a game, 22 minutes editing photos, 11 minutes in Safari, 18m reading in the news app, 30 minutes in messages... Not sure if that's normal usage or not. Also it says the game I applied used 16%. of my battery followed by photos (11%) safari (10%), news (8%), messages (8%)...
Not sure how this compares to iOS 11 but it didn't feel abnormal going to bed with 20% battery remaining and I can clearly go a day without charging (I always charge overnight and 90% of the time when I'm at my desk) so I'm not worried about battery life at least.

I am still trying to learn how apple is calculating this usage. my iPhone X charged after 28 hours showed 3 hr 20 on screen usage and on iOS 11 the same usage would be 8 hrs plus. I was on call over 2 hrs in 24 hrs so I know , I would also love to see the graph "since charge" instead of 24 hrs, hopefully in next betas.

Yeah I think the stats seem different between iOS 11 and iOS 12 it’s hard to compare
