Such a small update. It's possible it's on schedule to be release before thanksgiving next week.
Most likely short of something along the lines of an emergency, if it doesn't get released this week (and with beta 3 coming out today it's not likely for the final to be released this week) it likely won't be released next week before Thanksgiving.
As been pointed out for several years, nothing will be released next week. Apple is closed for the Thanksgiving break. Earliest is Monday after Thanksgiving (11/26).
the public release is probably in december sometime. i wouldnt expect 12.2 till next year.
[cue the arguments about whether Apple is really, truly closed next week...]
Haha. My argument wouldn't be based on whether or not Apple is closed, but on whether or not the person claiming to know that Apple is closed has any more proof than speculation based on previous years of Apple's holiday schedule. Schedule can change and just because Apple has previously given the Thanksgiving week off does not mean that they have done so in 2018.
I don't pretend to know for sure because I don't work at Apple HQ nor do I know anyone who does. It's fun to guess though I suppose.
One year (maybe last?), things became so pathetic around here, people were actually calling corporate asking about their holiday schedule to speculate on a beta release. It made me step away from this thread for awhile actually.
