Auto-Correct seems to be a lot more pervasive in 13.1. Definitely worse than previous.
Simple words like feeling, twinkle, Swype, and other non-profane words are being changed after the fact. Even single letter typing has this happen a lot.
As I typed this, Swype was changed to sweetie and when retyped was changed to Skype. Feeling to felling, twinkle to Twinkie, etc...

Reported.

There’s no way in hell that beta 8 is/was the GM. I’m sure Apple wouldn’t put public to do beta testing when the new iPhones are about to be released. People upgrading will be mad if they can’t restore their phones on launch date. Unless, the iPhone this year will be released a 2 weeks later instead of the week after. Then we can have about 4-5 beats of 13.1.

like the iPhone X which was shipped in November. I highly doubt Apple will delay it that long, but they could push the date to early November and have a chance of getting iOS 13.1 on the new iPhones.

I have a feeling they will have a surprise feature out when iOS13 officially launch. That’s why they skipped to iOS13.1
Just a hunch

This is reminiscent of the 11.2 / iPhone X scenario. At the time the iPhone X shipped, 11.1 was public, and 11.2 was in beta. The iPhone X shipped with 11.0.1, requiring even users on public release to update before they could restore a backup. For those of us on 11.2 beta, there was no 11.2 beta made available for the X until several days later and we were not able to restore backups until that time.

My guess in this case is that there will never be a 13.0 public release. It will simply be released as 13.1 right from the get go. I'm up in the air about what I think will ship on the new devices.

Apple Watch S4 battery on WatchOS 5.3.1 seems to be draining really fast again, now with iOS 13.1 beta.
Yep, same for me. Watch S4 was on 68% at 11pm. Woke up at 6am and it was down to 17%.
I’ve not upgraded to WatchOS 5.3.1 yet, but not sure that’ll help

It’s great that it’s possible to customize the share sheet but it’s kind of wonky. If I change the order of favorite actions in one app then in another app the order randomly changes as well. For example an action that I didn’t even touch changes it’s location.

View attachment 855127 Not sure if this the right place to mention this but it’s an IOS 13.1 thing.
When on the home or any other app page if you open a folder full of apps it has a transparent background so the apps in the folder appear to be floating on the page.

i have this issue too on my iPad Air 2

Assuming you even HAVE a home button!

This is a major bummer. I have stuggled a bit with multitasking in iPadOS. That one feature would make things so much easier.
Yes. Why I have to get out of my way to go back to home screen in order to launch another app just to work with that app side by side, assuming it is not in the dock. Since after the spotlight change, the only way to trigger it is on the home screen or Cmd+Space on keyboard. I thought I could at least multitask from there, but nope. Argh.

I was thinking about that. Does the home gesture work on the buttonless iPads in the middle of that flow?
It does.

At this point, for anyone who is currently on the last PB from last week (7 or 8 I think it was), and who do NOT want 13.1 beta, what is our choice?

Do we just delete the Beta profile, restart, and wait for 13 regular release or 13.1 regular release to come out?

Any suggestions?

I would say do not update from DB8/PB7 and wait to see if we can get a GM on 10 Sep. If yes, lucky us, if not - then delete the beta profile and wait for the general public release a week or so later.

Is this better than ios 13 beta 8? Should I stay on it or go to 13.1? I am getting the iPhone XI once it releases next month. I am currently on iPhone X. Really confused on what to do.

Happening for me too! I've seen it reported on reddit too so not a limited issue

Yeah, swipe keyboard kinda sucks in this beta...

Mine actually seems better. I wonder if there are any testing regimens that verify the accuracy. I’m sure there are, just not sure if publicly available.

I find it better on my XR.
+Mail App fixed. For my use it works.
+Holds on to wifi and connects faster (new modem version in 13.1)
+Imessage and Facetime not broken

There is only one big problem (for me it is)
Its draining the apple watch S4 battery. This got fixed 2 betas back but its back again.

Is the problem still present that the swipe bar on the X/XS devices is disappearing for no reason? I’ve just had it on 13.0 again and 12 too
