I’m experiencing the iMessage closure bug on my iPhone X as well. Only happens once. I attempt to go in the app a second time and it works. Also, 3D Touching a text or any notification on the lock screen, the X button doesn’t work so you can’t close it out. I have to swipe up to exit out of it.

Anybody got issues with growing Other storage? Got mine at 12GB right now. Rebooting didn’t help, syncing with iTunes didn’t help.

Not seeing a large amount on my 256 GB iPhone X.

13.1 PB killed the Google Hangouts app on my iPhone X. Ugh.

same issue for me... and it’s a real problem as I am not sure I can downgrade right now :-/

Google hangouts (before I scrapped Google) always crashed for me whether I was using iMac, iPad or iPhone, no difference.
I have a XS and same issue for me :(

The "Set Default Location" button in the weather widget on my iPP 10.5" FINALLY works as expected.
Where exactly is that option?

This is exactly why I decided to not update today... I just removed the beta profile to avoid an update all together until the final 13.0 version is released. I’m always a day 1 purchaser of new iPhones and want to avoid any complications or data loss.

Some have suggested 13.1 will be released on launch day, but I highly doubt that. I expect it to launch much sooner than a normal x.1 launch, but still at least a couple weeks after 13.0.

Some have also suggested the beta 8 is the GM and that is almost certainly false. They are still working on 13.0, but they can’t run two simultaneous 13.x betas at the same time. They are limited on what they can change now with 13.0 anyway, so why not use the massive pool of testers to test 13.1.
Why not? Different profiles would accomplish this. However with 13.1 being the same major build version, 17Axxxx as 13.0 then yeah would most likely not be too easy. Most likely its being treated as 13.0.

New to the beta process question:

I want to update to 13.1 public beta via iTunes, I'm currently on 13.0 public b8. Is it possible to do this on a Windows 10 PC? When I launch iTunes, connect my phone, and Check for Update, it tells me I'm on the most current version. I have the beta profile installed on the phone and can see the update available through Software Update on the phone.
You have download the ipsw file manually then in iTunes press shift/update then browse to the ipsw file you downloaded and manually select it. The normal 'update', 'restore' functions in iTunes wont do it automatically for betas.

Why why why why why is the Find my Friends Widget still missing?????

And also, one of the best things in an earlier beta (when I last tried) was that you could download whole folders in the files app from iCloud and that seems to be gone now?

At this point, for anyone who is currently on the last PB from last week (7 or 8 I think it was), and who do NOT want 13.1 beta, what is our choice?

Do we just delete the Beta profile, restart, and wait for 13 regular release or 13.1 regular release to come out?

Any suggestions?

Remove the Beta Profile and reboot. Then wait until the GM is officially released on Sept 10. Apple believes the latest Beta release is suitable for the masses
**COUGH COUGH NOPE**
So you’ll have to deal with all of the bugs still present until the GM is released, and then I’d recommend setting up as new instead of restoring from backup. Every issue I’ve continued to have is still present in the latest release even after restoring from a backup. I’d almost suggest doing absolutely nothing after the GM is released, and wait it out and check these forums to see everyone else’s experiences. Apple has a way of making the GM work great even when the latest beta sucks. Only time will tell.

Yea I decided to do the same. I like to do a clean install every once and a while anyway so that’ll work.

from what I’ve read, the app thinning options won’t start taking effect until apps are completely reinstalled. So a setup as new scenario would probably be best.

In the weather widget. On my iPad, only Cupertino's weather would show, and there was no way to change it. There is a button on the bottom of the widget that says "Set Default Location" or something to that effect. It never worked until this beta.

Can someone check if the share sheet in the e.g. photos app allows you to finally disable the Books app? It‘s the only app with no toggle to turn off. Feedback app says no similar reports which is bumming.

Also, they flagged my weather app location „Always“ setting missing as „as designed, no fix required“. That is mind boggling to me cause it now no longer shows the forecast in the good morning UI (after bedtime alarm).

iOS 13.1 was just released in the public beta profile , I won’t be installing that

No toggle for Books (and only Books). It is in Suggested Apps under “More” though, so it is not in my face.

Yeah, I noticed the missing weather summary in the morning. So I guess we should file feedbacks on the missing forecast?

Strange one this morning ...
In Messages, the keyboard was off by one space - tapping A did nothing, tapping S got an A, tapping D got an S, etc... a horizontal shift.
A reboot fixed the issue.
Will report if it happens again.

XS Max PB 13.1

I thought it was missing also. It had simply been moved to one of my other pages when the beta was installed. Just moved it back to where I wanted it.
