iPhone iOS 13 Beta 3 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

I'm really hoping for a new beta soon (today or Monday). I don't really feel like there's any point in testing this one.

Sometimes seeing what doesn’t work is just as valuable as knowing what does.

I’m pretty sure the Public Beta is the same build as the Developer Beta, so if that’s the case the 7 and 7 Plus won’t be getting the Public Beta either.

If you’re on Silent mode, when you press volume up or down in the Home Screen, you will get the Silent Mode interface instead of the volume indicator. Is this a new behavior?

Yes. Sucks thou that you can’t turn down or up your ringer unless you take it out of silent mode. Hopefully it’s a bug

Mine is totally random. Some calls are going straight to voicemail even in good signal areas, others are coming through.

Definitely a Beta issue though as it wasn’t a problem on iOS 12 as you say.

You definitely wonder if they realize that this beta has so many issues that they’re just skipping over the public beta until the new developer one comes out.

After upgrading to iOS 13 on my iPhone 7, Siri won't recognize relationships that were working in iOS 12. For example, if I wanted to call my wife, in iOS 12, I would say "Siri, call my wife" and it would dial the default number. In iOS 13, if say the same command, it would now tell me "What is your wife's name"? If I tell siri "<my wife's full name> is my wife" and I would get a response, "OK... but I already know that."

I must say battery life on Beta 3 with my XS Max has been absolutely phenomenal. I am getting the best times I've ever gotten with any iphone ever.

Anyone having issues when using safari in the PB? If I touch the screen for a fraction of a sec too long a new window pops up and it basically "freezes" my ipad pro. Safari is still responsive, but I cannot move the extra window (which takes up 1/3 of the screen) and I cannot switch apps. The only way to resolve this is to do a hard reset. This has basically made safari unusable and I am about to down grade back to 12.4. Anyone have any idea how to resolve this?

Sometimes the control center freezes on the screen. It happened on my iPhone on beta 1 and just now on the latest beta on my iPad. Like I can see things I click moving behind the control center but the control center itself doesn’t go away and I can’t click any of the control center buttons either.

In fact I had to drive back for 15 minutes on public transport because I didn’t remember how to restart the iPhone without a home button and was in need of google

Suddenly I am able to connect today with CarPlay on my Alpine ILX-107.

It connected perfectly on Monday and Tuesday this week ... and would ‘connect’ but would not display the home screen on Wednesday and Thursday.

Bizarre, for sure.

What I meant was, given the perceived retrograde step on DB3 according to several of the forum members testing here, perhaps Apple will just wait until at/after DB4 before both re-adding the 7 & 7Plus and also releasing PB2?

Bluetooth keyboards don’t seem to work with iPad. I have used 3 now and the space bar doesn’t work as it should. When pressed it acts as a return and not a space. Have to hold down shift and space to work. I tried with my iPhone on 12.1.2 and another iPad on 12 and it works as it should. Such a bummer for now.

Strange. My Zagg is working perfect with iPP11.

After beta 3, my car play will not work. Plug in phone and screen will not pull up. Worked on beta 2.

Wow I haven't seen a BETA this bad in years. More got broken than I can believe.

CarPlay will not display on Ford Sync. CarPlay icon activates but CP does not run
Raise to wake is so sensitive now the screen pops on and off driving
Siri Search is dead. Freezes or does not search at all
Notifications from messages show up 2-3 minutes after arrival

Thats just a quick look at this build... The list is going to be huge B1 and B2 were much better.

My car play will not work on beta 3 also. Screen doesn’t pop up either.

Apps opened in CarPlay still aren’t showing in the phone app switcher and can’t be killed without opening the app on the phone where it will then show up in the app switcher.
Some nav apps stay running gps in the background unknown to the user and drain the battery.
Was hoping they would fix this on beta 3

I got Homekit back from doing an update from ipsw image but Carplay is still broke.

I can see the Projection button go green for Car Play and push it but nothing happens. Music still plays but display wont come up. Also the iPhone screen constantly turns on and off with every bump and turn. (2016 Silverado Mylink)

My car play isn’t working in my 2018 2500 HD either. It was in beta 2.

So, I updated at the last minute because my internet had been down and was going out of town. Now my CarPlay doesn’t work (was working on beta 2). Before when I plugged in it would always prompt me which was annoying but now it doesn’t prompt (which is good like it use to do) and auto connects but all I get is a black screen. I do get some audio passes through but nothing else. Anyone else getting only a black screen on the radio for CarPlay?

Yes mine quit working on beta 3 on my 2018 2500 HD. It worked fine on beta 2 though.
