Interesting difference in how the folders are being rendered. The darker ones are from a while ago, the ones more “adaptive” to the wallpaper are from this beta.

But what about those who are not doing the watch beta because they are not developers? Like me. And I am not going to cheat the system.
watchOS 5 will be fine.
I no longer have a spare watch to test though.

Having a few issues so far on this beta. iPhone XS Max.

1. WiFi randomly cuts off when on a FaceTime call. End the call and WiFi reconnects. Reported

2. iMessages are not synchronised between devices. iPad Pro and MacBook Pro all in Sync. But iPhone has gaps in the conversations or even complete message threads missing. Reported

3. Mail app still has issues with messages not being loaded or loading but with no content. Back to outlook and reported.

4. Random app freezes where only way to fix is to quit and close the app. It’s not one particular app either.

5. Had 3 resprings so far. 2 whilst in photos. One was creating and album and then moving content to it. The other was editing a slow-mo video. That 3rd one was when I tried to turn iMessage sync off and on to see if the sync would work. Reported.

6. Random issues with notification sounds for iMessage. Only way I can describe is it’s as if the sound is buffering. Eg it starts, stops a bit, starts and stops a bit more etc. Reported.

Tried all the usual fixes and reboots etc. But nothing seems to work.

Good thing though is on this beta the phone doesn’t seem to get as warm when using FaceTime. So that at least is one plus point.

Hi
Since ios 13 public beta 3, i am having issues with whatsapp app and CSR 2 racing app. These would stuck at start or shutdown abnormally at startup. solution is to restart iphone (X Max). Can you please confirm if any one have this issue and add to renaming issues. Thanks

I’ve reported a ton of bugs over the course of the last six betas. Some have been fixed, some haven’t.

Is there any benefit to selecting “Add New Information” via the Feedback app just to add “this is still happening”
I do that, but I've noticed compared to the Mojave betas, Apple aren't caring so much about feedback reports.

During Mojave, I'd get emails asking for more info whereas now I've logged bugs that I know for sure other people have also logged - often ones that get whole threads on here - and the feedback report still says "None" and "open" under "Other similar reports" and "status". I've had bugs fixed that are still in status "open", so they're not reading/updating them.

Could be that they get so many now that they scan through them looking for big issues and don't have the time to go through them one by one. I can understand that, although it does make me think I'm wasting my time reporting stuff.

Me too - it got better in DB5 but worse again in this beta.

Hello everyone, Tap to Wake feature has stopped working after Dev Beta 6 update on iPhone X

Checked Tap to Wake under Accessibility option. It’s on.

Tried turning it off and on. No luck.

Rebooted the device. No luck.

Hard reboot. No luck.

As a final resort, I also tried Reset All Settings. Still no avail.

Anybody else experiencing this problem?

Since the update I cannot read my mails anymore. So I’ve switched back to Outlook, no login to Google possible. Reinstalled it again, no login possible. Now I’ve lost all my settings. -.-

This beta is a little buggier than the previous. Also battery drain is bad lost 10% overnight (95->85) with background refresh off and only 1 notification. iP8

Like many others, I’ve had all kinds of issues with Mail on the IOS 13 beta. I read somewhere that deleting the stock mail application would help. Figured it wouldn’t hurt so here’s what I did.

1. Delete stock Mail application
2. Remove all email accounts from Passwords and Accounts
3. Sign out of iCloud
4. Restart iPhone
5. Sign back into iCloud
6. Reinstall stock Mail application
7. Add all email accounts back.

After doing the above, ALL of my Mail issues are gone, and Mail is working perfectly... At least for now...

I did this after the release of Beta 4 and have not had any issues since.

I really like the calendar section in outlook. But I miss my holidays. Have to look for something else. I hope we will get Dark Mode in Outlook soon.

look at Spark. Calendar included on side bar when you choose to show it. I’m running beta 6 and it has been working fine since I tried it after beta 2. Running on an iPad Pro 12.9 gen 3. So far the only thing I miss for the mail app is the ability to start with the oldest new email and view - delete and view the next oldest email. No back or forward arrows. However if you start with the newest email (and set it the apps settings) you can delete and move to next email in window view.

I second Spark. I was having email sync issues (across my iDevices and MacBook Pro) with the stock Mail app, so I decided to try Spark and I have not been disappointed. Well the only thing I'd like is to turn off and on certain mailboxes whenever like I can do with the stock Mail app, but that's not that big of a deal.

Question for developers: how easy is it to implement dark mode in your app? Do you think most developers will enable dark mode in their app?

Dark mode is just a flag for a preferred color scheme. The dev has to theme their app on their own. If you use base UI elements you can probably throw together a dark theme quickly.

If interested, here’s the WWDC presentation on how to implement dark mode. As @TimFL1 indicated, at its basic level, it really is as simple as toggling a single control in Xcode. The complexity comes, as he indicated, if there are complex or non-standard elements that might not render well in Dark Mode.

For connection, it works perfectly. If you’re asking about battery life, you’ll have to wait a day or two. Can’t be worse.

Man, I don’t like it. It looks really strange. Wonder why they did that.
Battery on series 4 is a lot better, not as good as it was with watch os 5 just yet....

It’s working quite smooth on my Xs, still a few bugs here and there but that’s to be expected, funny enough my phone did a respring but my call I was on was still active during this, is this normal?

Adam.

I had different problems with the mail app as mentioned by other users. For me the following steps helped, mail is running really smooth now.
  • Uninstall Mail app ( all Accounts are IMAP-Accounts, so no data loss)
  • Restart iPad
  • Install Mail app from App Store again
  • Activate all accounts in settings

Did that, didn’t help.

"Morons"

It's a beta... you're 100% not the intended audience for this software if that's the reaction you have to undesired behaviour in beta software. Please install iOS 12 at your earliest convenience. iOS 13 will be available to the general public in September.

LOL if this person thinks they can do a better job then why aren’t they working for ?
