Let me gently correct this statement: the builds are usually identical, i.e. Developer Beta 6 is the exact same software as Public Beta 5. The reason the beta numbers are off by one is because the Developers had one additonal beta to work on before the first public beta was released.

I’ve had some app icons (inside a folder) that changed icon to it’s parent app icon. Goes away after a restart but randomly comes back.

Maybe it’s a sign that there’s finally a restart option on it’s way ;) I’ve been wanting that for many years. Often when I restart, I forget to press the power button again once the phone has shutdown (which often takes a while).

I have started to only use the mail app on one unit (iPhone) and never open them on my other units (iPad and MacBook). It stops the badge on my iPhone from giving wrong info.

If you had just updated your phone and noticed this within the first 24-48 hours, then it was equally likely to have been caused by indexing.

example of npr one eating my battery while I slept. (Yeah, I went to bed very late) I deleted npr one and all my battery issues and heat problems disappeared. I really miss that app though.

Can you set that app not to allow it to run in the background?

I went ahead and did this on my XS Max. It appears to have fixed pretty much everything on this device. :)
However, now it is no longer in sync with my IPP or my rMB. :(

Sigh :oops:

Once battery life is the same or better than OS 5 on all watches, including the 3, I’ll upgrade. Until then, I’m staying on 5.2 :)

How stable is the latest beta?

Thought it was obvious I was talking numerically, but reading back perhaps not.

Is that normal? I have iOS 13 public beta and watchOS 5 and my watch doesn’t sync the changes I’m doing in the watch app.
 
Just put my watch on after charge.
It says update complete...
have I missed something

watch 6 beta 6 as far as I was aware...

Here’s another one I’ve never seen before: long pressing on a message thread in Messages gives you a quick response menu. Sort of like the canned responses in WatchOS.

Please..no one tell me that this has been there since iOS 8....

Hi, can you be more specific about this?

What do you mean by "non-purchased?" exactly? Are you referring to movies that you did not get from Apple? DRM-free videos? Any example videos you can point to?

Also, if you have a video file that is showing this behavior, can you open it in Subler (free) and tell me what format it shows the subtitles being in?

Had this bad on previous public beta. Safari would lock up/crash, then would only restart to a frozen, blank screen. Only solution I had was to restore the IPP. But it would eventually happen again.
On current public beta version it is now running smoothly with no lock ups. Only complaint is you can no longer email the page link directly fron the Safari page.
 
I'm unable to active third-party keyboards. They don't show as options under Settings -> General -> Keyboard -> Keyboards. I can only see GIPHY as third-party keyboard even though I have both Swiftkey and Gboard installed on the phone. It's been like this with developer BETA3, 4, 5 and 6.

Anyone else with similar issues? I guess there is no workarounds?


My friend is complaining about Show My Caller ID being automatically disabled and the option being greyed out with BETA'6, but I have no such issue on my end.
