Is beta 6 a public beta? I just got beta 5 on my public beta devices.
Historically the public betas are at least one build behind the developers beta and are made available a day or so after it.
I’ve had some app icons (inside a folder) that changed icon to it’s parent app icon. Goes away after a restart but randomly comes back.Anybody having an issue with folders disappearing ? I have to reboot to fix this issue, and it comes back after a few hours. The folder is really there ( if i tap on it ), but just goes into ‘invisible’ mode![]()
Maybe it’s a sign that there’s finally a restart option on it’s wayHere’s a new frustrating thing: When I shut down my phone, it restarts on its own!
I have started to only use the mail app on one unit (iPhone) and never open them on my other units (iPad and MacBook). It stops the badge on my iPhone from giving wrong info.I had different problems with the mail app as mentioned by other users. For me the following steps helped, mail is running really smooth now.
- Uninstall Mail app ( all Accounts are IMAP-Accounts, so no data loss)
- Restart iPad
- Install Mail app from App Store again
- Activate all accounts in settings
For me, I had to look at background activity. Turns outs NPR one was gobbling up my battery in the background, behaving like it was playing even though it wasn’t. Even caused my phone to get hot. Definitely check for apps in background.
If you had just updated your phone and noticed this within the first 24-48 hours, then it was equally likely to have been caused by indexing.
example of npr one eating my battery while I slept. (Yeah, I went to bed very late) I deleted npr one and all my battery issues and heat problems disappeared. I really miss that app though.
”Recently Deleted apps” was NPR one

Battery on series 4 is a lot better, not as good as it was with watch os 5 just yet....
Optimized battery charging still not working for me. But the battery life isn’t that bad. 4 hours usage, 41% left.
Mine is always at 100% over nightOnce battery life is the same or better than OS 5 on all watches, including the 3, I’ll upgrade. Until then, I’m staying on 5.2
How stable is the latest beta?
So it’s not working for several? I was wondering why I wasn’t noticing a difference. I have had mine turned on in every beta and have not noticed any change with charging.
Thanks for confirming!
Let me gently correct this statement: the builds are usually identical, i.e. Developer Beta 6 is the exact same software as Public Beta 5. The reason the beta numbers are off by one is because the Developers had one additonal beta to work on before the first public beta was released.
Still having the subtitles on non purchased movies in the middle of the screen.
Since beta 5 or 6 I believe.
Yu talking about ios 13 beta or safari in general??Safari on the iPad is a real mess. It’s freezing all the time
Only on the iPad (Air 2019)Yu talking about ios 13 beta or safari in general??
Had this bad on previous public beta. Safari would lock up/crash, then would only restart to a frozen, blank screen. Only solution I had was to restore the IPP. But it would eventually happen again.Safari on the iPad is a real mess. It’s freezing all the time
I am using latest air 3 2019 tooOnly on the iPad (Air 2019)
Hi, can you be more specific about this?
What do you mean by "non-purchased?" exactly? Are you referring to movies that you did not get from Apple? DRM-free videos? Any example videos you can point to?
Also, if you have a video file that is showing this behavior, can you open it in Subler (free) and tell me what format it shows the subtitles being in?
