it’s basically the same thing. just you don’t have to press hard and there’s no like holding to peek and then press hard to pop into it. otherwise it’s essentially the same

but it’s not the same :(

try pressing with little sensitivity on iOS 12 and you can sort of get the app to 3D Touch but then it doesn’t when you let go

Now if you press with little sensitivity the gesture still completes. Not as fast as if you press down hard but it still completes, implying that the pressure component is not registering the way it did before, if at all

and not having true peek and pop anymore sucks. Step back and slower. At least 3D Touch app switcher is still there for home button 3D Touch devices

After seeing the posts from a few talking about the speed increase on the XS Max, I decided maybe a reboot would help.
It stuck. Shut down. Black as the inside of a lightless cave.

Tried a hard reboot even though it was shutdown. Took about 30 seconds of holding but it worked. :D

I am not seeing the launch speed increase. I am seeing a speed up or reduction in the animations at some points.
I'll take that.

Everything does seem to be a bit snappier! iPhone X. The slight stutter still exists for me when swiping from home screen 1 to 2, but it’s super minor.

Updated to the wiki post to say SMB/CIFS is back in Files (again) but I have had a couple of issues disconnecting and reconnecting, mostly solved by persistence. I will say this, it is fast. Way faster than Mojave and prior in listing large directories for example. Is this a new CIFS stack? Is Catalina using it too?

@gwhizkids The shortcut overlay is back on the home screen! Is that new to this release?

Has anyone tried doing a factory reset and setting up their phone as new with a recent iOS 13 beta?

Wondering if it’s worth trying to eliminate some of these bugs...

I did this early on on iPhone, b2 I think. I have not a lot of the issues others have report. IMHO it well worth the time and effort!

Running beta 7 still, was this reported?

Trying to view images from thumbnails in this forum isn’t working. Pop-up closes immediately. Tried rebooting (which took forever, almost panicked), but didn’t help.
