Yes.
There are actually two profiles: developer beta and public beta. So they could release 13.0 beta 9 through the public profile...Pretty complicated with just one profile. 13.1b1 would Update to 9 too?
I find this whole situation very weird. Historically (iOS 12 and 11 at least) the last beta was the same build as the GM.
How can they leave iOS 13 Beta users on this unpolished build and force them to upgrade to another, even more unpolished one? Unless iOS 13 Beta 8 is technically the GM but... a GM where 3d touching a profile picture crashes Messages? Really?
m13.0 beta 9 today
Not Happening
13.1b1 just got Public Beta

OK, by NOW I agree, it's impossible that there is another 13.0 beta with both beta-profiles getting 13.1 beta...There we go. Bet you there will still be people that will be adamant that we’re getting another 13.0 dev beta though
Only iOS 12 was a similar build number. iOS 11 and earlier wasn’t the same.
Public beta of what? 13.0 or 13.1? I'd be surprised by either frankly.
MBP winner will be announced at 1PM EST. giveaway will be canceled if new PB is released today.
Wow. I think this virtually guarantees that 13.1 will be a zero day update for the new phones.
I think it has to be. Conceivably, most of it might just be adding back in the previously removed features, which already have some mileage on them, testing-wise. The fact that they released a PB 1 day after DB1 shows how quickly they are moving. That, plus the potential backup hiccups for people on the public beta if the new phones don't have 13.1 on them nearly immediately:With beta 1 yesterday , you think it could be ready in 3 weeks?

While something like that is a possibility, it seems that the more usual possibility of iOS 13.0 being released and 13.1 being released sometime later (as it goes through its beta process and becomes ready in the next month or two or so) is still there.I think it has to be. That's a point does the peer to peer transfer care about the iOS versions on the devices? Has anyone tested transferring from a iOS 13 device to one running 12.4?I think it has to be. "Hello, new iPhone 11 user! Set your phone up using your backup from your old phone. Oh...yeah...right! Nevermind!"
Though, this may be the reason for the new settings and device data transfer system (peer to peer vs iCloud).
Winner!
Count me in!
As whacky as things seem to be, we could get beta 2 tomorrow! What’s everyone’s guess for Beta 2 13.1? This whole beta cycle has been crazy, no rhyme or reason.
Well technically they are not calling it beta 1. Simply "iOS 13.1 Beta". Its the same build version as 13.0 (17Axxxxx) so yeah, it could be the version that releases next. Not like they are starting over it seems. With beta 1 yesterday , you think it could be ready in 3 weeks?
