My comment? With the big winky face at the end? C'mon...this is a speculation thread and we're all having fun here. The fact that some of us said 13 at release and 13.1 right after were obviously just guessing. We can gloat for 1/2 second though.

EDIT: and to be fair, the poster did not say "late" October but said at the Apple October event (which has never occurred in the first half of October and is typically during the last 10 days of October).

Team 13.0 edges out Team 13.1. It wasn't a slam dunk though.

My prediction:

2019-09-10: iOS 13.0 GM release (at least for developers)
2019-09-12: iOS 13.1 beta 3 release
2019-09-16: iOS 13.0 official release
2019-10-xx: iOS 13.1 official release

So:

Not sure about the GM release date yet
Not sure about the 13.1 beta 3 release date yet
Off by three days for the 13.0 official release
Off by one day for the 13.1 official release

As for Catalina, it comes in October

You know, I do have to reply to this: it was never beyond obvious, but there was sound logic behind the thinking, starting with the absolutely unprecedented step of releasing a beta before the prior version was released. That turned out not to be the case but came about as close as you can come. And in the case of the iPad, it appears to be true.

True.. in some regards maybe both team 13.0 and 13.1 win. We get a 13.0 iPhone only release and 13.1 will be the first iPadOS release?

Unless iPadOS is released as 13.0 and iOS is 13.1 alongside it. Wouldn't that just be crazy....

Probably IPSW only. They'll need it and since there's no news on way to work around the profile issues, that's probably the only way to get it. They all have Macs so should be no issue.

Weird, I downloaded iOS 13.1 beta 3 went to install and nothing happened. Went out of software update and back in. iOS 13.1 beta 3 is gone. No update.

turned on airplane mode and off and update is there again. Very strange.
