Let's just hope that Catalina gets updated soon to support Sidecar on iPadOS 13.1 beta.
.
With the iPadOS and catalina update (DEV Betas) that were released today sidecar is now working for me.

Public beta testers never get the GM via the profile. They also seed the 13.1 beta already so there is no way for them to „backwards seed“ a potential GM anyways.Any idea if Apple will let non developers acces iOS 13 GM? Had this happened with the past releases?
Who are they? And how so?So in a way they are more confident that iOS 13.1 is more stable than iOS 13 GM
So just to get it right.
I am a public beta tester with PB7 on both my iPhone and my iPad.
My options now are:
1) Update my iPhone (but not iPad?) to 13.0 GM with IPSW; or
2) Update both to iOS 13.1 PB3 (when it comes out for PB testers); or
3) Remove the PB profile now and wait for iPhone to upgrade to iOS 13 official release on 19 Sep and iPad on 30 Sep?
Is this it or have I missed anything?
Either option is fine. Are you getting new iPhone? If you are, remove profile to update to public release next week to do a full backup in case. If not, with consideration to iOS 13.1 release at the end of the month, stay on beta train since public beta should be coming tomorrow.
No public beta 3 for iOS 13.1 which is strange
Hopefully both the iPadOS OTA public beta and the Catalina OTA public beta are out today. With the iPadOS and catalina update (DEV Betas) that were released today sidecar is now working for me.
Any speculation as to which update will add Deep Fusion to the new iPhone 11 Pro? 13.1, 13.2?
Phill only said “later this fall”, which technically could be up to mid December...
I assume my iPad Air 2 is too old for this to work. It worked really well in an early beta, but it stopped working after a few and hasn't shown up since. With the iPadOS and catalina update (DEV Betas) that were released today sidecar is now working for me.
iPad Air 2 doesn’t support hardware HEVC decode. I guess they are restricting it to HEVC setups for quality (or speed?) reasons because if you use h.264 (like with hacked versions of Sidecar), the quality is noticeably worse.I assume my iPad Air 2 is too old for this to work. still have no idea when tvOS13 is being released and HomePod iOS13
Public Beta for 13.1 beta 3 today??

How was the quality for you when it worked on the iPad Air 2? With a MacBook 12” 2017 and iPad Pro 10.5, it’s essentially perfect, with no pixelation or image degradation, and no significant lag.
mini 5 has full HEVC decode acceleration in hardware. But yeah, screen is way too small.I have the ipad mini 5 now. The quality is actually really good and it's very responsive. The only downside is that it's a mini... so it's a little small for comfort.
Yes.Has Apple ever released a final build different than the GM?
Beta 3 came very late yesterday...PB3 will most likely be today.
Remember, this is still the beta program and has nothing to do with the event yesterday. Business as usual.
