Has Apple ever released a final build different than the GM? Because with no one being able to get native mail working on the GM, it is going to be a disaster for them if this is released, unless its a backend server issue they can fix.

Native mail works fine for me on the GM and has in all the previous betas, there was one release where recent mail was sorted to the bottom instead of the top but they fixed that in the next release.

I’d love to know what setting is different or what differences there are that causes some people to have broken mail.

Yeah I don't know either. Release notes mention no known mail issues, and seems like a ton of people having the issue. Hope it gets figured out, but I am guessing not, works fine on 13.1 beta.

My mail works completely fine on every device with Catalina on it, with 6 accounts per device.
Now if I had a better spam filter system.

Much of what I've seen (anecdotally) seems to relate to the lag between the time a notification appears and when an item appears in a mailbox. For me, that's more or less a non-issue. I don't like it, but I've noticed the difference in timing, particularly on Exchange accounts, for years. Frequently, I get the iOS notification first, then after a few (sometimes more than a few) seconds, it'll appear in the iOS mailbox. It will appear on my PC Outlook app last of all. I've just chalked it up to "that's just how it goes.".

I've also seen issues with out of order emails (which I've experienced once or twice). I've seen nothing, however, that would make me forswear use of iOS 13 or move to Android, however.

There is a different issue on the GM, it is that emails just aren't even there. On all of my email accounts but one, everything is just blank. No email there at all. Says connecting or that it last connected. I'm aware of those previous email issues like you are describing, saw them all through the beta's and not a huge deal to me, this is different and worse. But I also use another email app so I still get my emails, so I have a workaround, others might not.

I am on PB 13.1 beta 2. If I want to go back to ‘production’ iOS can I just delete the profile and wait? Should I not grab beta 3? Could I load 3 and then delete the profile and wait for 13.1?

Thank you. I would prefer not to DFU my phone.
[doublepost=1568224048][/doublepost]Anyone have the issue where the ‘shortcut’ to the first recent app doesn’t work? The second and third work for me but not the first. If I use the normal app icon it loads the app.

I would stick to the iOS 13.1 beta cycle then and remove the beta profile just before the official release on 30 Sep.
You could also remove the profile now, yet there will probably be a few more iOS 13.1 betas before the end of the month.

No
I do, well maybe

So if I enroll my new phone on my developers account, think I will be able to upgrade and then restore from backup?

Has anyone had any issues with missing attachments in messages? On my test iPhone, before upgrading to iOS13, I had iOS 12.4.1 installed and if I went into a messages, pressed the contact name and then info, I could see all the attachments. When I upgraded to iOS13.0 and iOS 13.1, the attachments were gone??

Speculation time!

they need to allow it so each app can be set individually to allow landscape mode or not. That would be toooooooooooooooo clutch!!!!!!!! Hate that you can’t.

been wantin that 4 some time, they got me ova heah lookin like a jerk

that and multitask. Like say notepad and YouTube or notepad and Apple TV app

That seems more like an iOS wishlist type of thing.

iPad Air 2 doesn’t support hardware HEVC decode. I guess they are restricting it to HEVC setups for quality (or speed?) reasons because if you use h.264 (like with hacked versions of Sidecar), the quality is noticeably worse.

How was the quality for you when it worked on the iPad Air 2? With a MacBook 12” 2017 and iPad Pro 10.5, it’s essentially perfect, with no pixelation or image degradation, and no significant lag.

My experience on a 15” 2017 MacBook Pro with the iPad Air 2 was perfect, fantastic image quality and no noticeable latency. I was disappointed to see it taken out, I guess it’s “marketing”. AKA, buy a new iPad for this feature.

I suspect we see something this Monday or Tuesday and then the functional equivalent of a GM on 9/23-24. And there may be a separate build for the new phones on Friday.
