I'm having issues updating to iOS 13 via iTunes. I have my macbook in Mojave 10.14.6, iTunes un 12.9.5.5 and iPhone XR in 12.4.1 but it tells me that I have to update my software in order to update the iPhone to iOS 13...

What is going on? Already tried restarting Macbook and iphone, but I'm getting the same error, even trying using the .ipsw file

Why not update OTA?

Um you have to update your software. There is an update required that recognizes iOS 13 as a valid iOS version. iTunes for Windows got a full update for it. I believe Mac you just have to follow the instructions in the message and update.

Thats sounds like an issue with iTunes in general. The issue previously when the GM was released was one that needed a small update before it would run the update. And Windows users needed a full new version of iTunes.

Maybe. I’ve never had any issues with iTunes and updates have been working fine ... I don’t know what to do.

You didnt say whether you got the update or not. If not, I would look into doing that. There was info regarding that in the 13.0 GM thread.

I'm skipping iOS 13.0 and opting for 13.1. I only have to wait 5 more days and I read that features that were removed from iOS 13 beta testing such as Shortcuts Automations will be added back in 13.1.

As the latest iOS 13.1 beta (4) turns out to be its GM equivalent, it is unlikely we will see another beta release for it before 24 Sep, when it comes out for everybody. So people wanting to come off the beta cycle can remove their beta profiles now.

Stupid question:

Can I download the iOS 13 developer beta profile from the same place that I got it from originally and have it work with my new iPhone 11 Pro, or do I need to install an iPhone 11-specific new profile?

I want to install the latest iOS 13.1 developer beta on my iPhone 11 Pro and am totally blanking on whether that’ll work or not.

A driver file is needed

Yes, that will work.

Any guesses on when we'll see the new "Deep Fusion" feature? I'm thinking it will be in 13.2. Can't wait to see how photos turn out on this new mode.

Not that it's an issue now, but just for completeness the direct transfer option wasn't even offered until I updated my 11 Pro to the same OS level as my X, so it still does care about OS versions even if it's not using a backup.

It still sort of works in Safari, but it definitely doesn’t work as well as it used to. It’s been half-broken all throughout the iOS 13 betas.

If anyone is wondering what’s coming next...
