Does anyone know if you can use a 13.1 beta 4 backup to start a new iPhone 11 pro from? Restore or whatever it's called. Basically I have a 6s with beta 4 running and an 11 pro sitting here waiting to be swiped over to.

My guess is they wait for iOS 13.2 beta 1 until after the public release of 13.1. I’m guessing this Wednesday for 13.2 beta 1

You need to set up the 11 as new, download beta profile and install the beta. Then reset the phone all data and finally restore from your 13.1 backup. I did that exact thing and everything works great.

No worries, you would only have a problem if you tried to restore from 13.1 backup onto 13.0. As you will be running the same iOS 13.1 on both, you are good to go.

Except that if they do not want to use iOS 13.1 beta at all. Then installing the official 13.1 release on Tuesday and using the iOS 13.1 beta 4 backup is the way to go.

This is not correct. You can restore to 13.1 from a 13.0 backup. Just not the other way around. If this were not true, there would be millions of people unable to restore when 13.1 launches tomorrow!

I have pity for anyone who is using 13.0 over 13.1. Haha

hmmmm.. now the question becomes do you hope off the iOS 13 beta train and go with the public release tomorrow.... or to keep going with 13.1.1 and 13.2
