If we have a repeat of iOS 11 and 12 then iOS 14 will be more focused towards stabilisation since 13 was such a mess. We’ll see tho.

I hope so. I don't WANT to be pessimistic, but Apple software QA has been all over the place lately. Not to mention the overall mood of everything right now.

So maybe 13.4.2 tomorrow for Mail and Unicode bug fixes? macOS and watchOS too since the Unicode bug affects those platforms too.

So I really want an update as well to patch the vulnerabilities. So I was thinking about installing the beta. Then I just saw it's an H build and went no thank you. Hope 13.4.2 comes soon.......

I think I'm staying on 13.4.5b2 for the moment, which fixes the security issues. No pressing reason to upgrade to this new beta.

it was blazing fast for me.. couldn't have been more than 30 seconds to download.
Similar experience here.

Slightly off-topic, but, as May is almost here, I am getting more and more excited about iOS 14. When, do you guys think, the WWDC will be? Obviously, beginning of June makes sense, so to have enough time for beta testing and developers to prepare updates, but what about if Apple postpones the new iPhones with few weeks, then we might also have WWDC in mid or late June.

I suspect that they will still have the keynote the first Monday in June. If the phones are delayed, that gives them potentially more time to work through any bugs.

I don't think we'll get another public release before 13.5. 13.5 with contact tracing API is supposedly to release around mid-May.

Apple iOS/iPadOS release management is currently in a flux with jumping to 13.5. I have a feeling Apple will be releasing a mid version before 13.5 due to the notification bug as it so widely known. And my gut feeling is that they will release that today or tomorrow

In my opinion they have to release something soon. Companies with iPhones don’t allow their employees to use the Apple Mail App anymore. And the symbol bug isn’t much better.

I still think there'll be another beta release next week, probably Tuesday, before the official release of 13.5. From my understanding there was a bigger API change due to jumping from 13.4 to 13.5, and they might need more testing to confirm any potential issues before release, especially with the contact tracing API. I bet the next beta release that follows the official 13.5 release will be 13.5.5, just like 13.4.5, so they can give themselves some wiggle room with any security issues or bugs.
