Welp, here’s a weird one…

The Music release dates differ between your library and the Music catalog.

Choose an album in your music library and note the release date. Now view that same album in Music and the release date will be the day before.

I just did this for about ten different albums and the release date for the albums in my library were always one day after the release date for the exact same album in Apple’s catalog.

What. The. Hell.

FWIW I’ve had tons of problems with Music showing incorrect release dates and showing me one album in the “Listen Now” section, but then leading me to another when I tap on it. As an example, I see that one of my friends listened to Nirvana’s Bleach, but when I tap on it it takes me to the deluxe version of their Nevermind album Which has some live tracks at the end including tracks from Bleach. I’m actually seeing this happen with a LOT of albums. Something server side has to be pretty screwy.

Does anyone know why Apple has started enclosing buttons in boxes again? For example in the Podcasts app when you go to a show the back, bookmark, download and options buttons are in circles. One of the big things with the iOS 7 redesign was taking these out of boxes so the buttons could be larger. It’s also inconsistent with the rest of the iOS interface.

Also talking about inconsistencies, the quick options that appear when you swipe left or right on list content in Podcasts, News, Mail, Messages etc are all in different styles. Some have only glyphs, some are text only, some are both, colours are different, some appear in circles. Sort it Apple please it’s annoying.

Anyone having problems with Apple Music loading right now? Started about ten minutes ago for me. Everything is very slow to load, and the Listen Now and Search tabs won’t load at all.

I’ve seen reports of an Apple Music outage this morning.

I’m just curious. Why does WiFi need to be turned on for Face ID to unlock with the watch? Like I’m walking down a NYC street not connected to WiFi so I turn it off and Face ID says I need to turn it on for it to work.
Why do you turn wifi off when walking down the street? There is no reason to do this. If you have the "suggest wifi networks" turned on then it can be annoying to keep seeing all the different networks to join but that can be turned off. I'm not aware of any reason to turn wifi off when you aren't using it.

Also, anyone have any solutions on getting Peacock TV app to launch? This is the only one I've come across that crashes on launch.

Is there an overview of known issues with iOS 14.5 Beta 1 somewhere? I'm really tempted to install it on my main iPhone just for the Watch-Unlock feature, but wanted to make sure the bugs are not too bad... Will Online-Banking Apps work with this beta or are they going to sense a jailbreak or something?
As rumored in my post above, I'm not able to open a lot of third party apps (crash at launch), including some Banking Apps. I would not recommend to use it own your main phone.

Do we have a consensus of how to get Face ID while Masked to work?

I've been on and off wifi, indoors and out, with two different masks on and generally speaking, it doesn't work for me.

I get the haptic feedback on my Watch accompanied with a button indicating that I can lock my iPhone, but it doesn't actually unlock.

List of Apps that (might) crash under IOS 14.5 Beta1 (and EU 12 Pro Max):
  • Twitter
  • Xing
  • Youtube
  • PayPal
  • hue (Philips lightning)
  • dyson
  • VRBankingClassic
  • Payback
  • Asana
  • peacock TV
  • playstation

... list will be continued after your reports of app-crashes

US Models seem to have no problems with most of these apps :)

Asana is crashing, and I have given a feedback to Apple and Asana about it.

Youtube, PayPal and Twitter all work fine here -- 12 Pro Max as well.

Has anyone noticed that new audio messages in Whatsapp are not playing. I mean, with old messages, I have no issue, I can click on play and hear them, but some new messages do not play when I click the button.

Yes, running into the same problem. I‘m not able to play new audio messages. But I was able to play new audio messages in whatsapp web as a workaround.

I had to do just the same! Thought it was an isolated issue, but now I see it is occurring to a few people.

The List under “HISTORY” of iOS settings > Privacy > Location Services > System Settings > Significant Locations does not show different city names, but shows multiple entries of same State in which the cities travelled are situated.
Any one else?

My significant locations still show by city/state and multiple entries in each.

Edit: Maybe you have a long list and it's combining them into states instead of city/state? I have 6 entries and 2 in My Places.
