Sorry to bump my question from yesterday morning, but is anyone else finding any widget stacks freezing? (Able to tap to open, but not scroll or long-press.) I been selectively deleting widgets from the stacks, but nothing seem to stop the occasional lock-up, except restarting. Thanks.
I had this one time so far. On b1 or b2 I had this issue quite a lot.

Anyone installed B4 and noticed their battery health go down? I went from 93 to 89. Now I know obv battery drains over time, just seems like a big jump in one shot

I just checked and I went from 100 to 99 at some point apparently
Just seems strange like this never happens on final release and when you install beta idk if it refreshes the batt health or what. I had other phones where I seen 5/8 percent drop for now reason.

Is there a good battery app I can download to test my battery 🔋 and test it? And compare it?

IIRC, the iOS battery health not only measures the remaining capacity, but also takes into account highest voltage, average output voltage etc.

You can try Coconut Battery on the mac, it gives you the remaining capacity count.

Anyone noticed with 14.5 when turning on airplane mode, Bluetooth always turns off? Even if I turn it on while I’m airplane mode, it doesn’t remember this like it used to.

Just tested this .. turned on AM, then bluetooth, then turned off AM. Then turned AM back on and bluetooth stayed on.

I had them on beta 3, but beta 4 has been free of dropouts.
Same. I even had an email from Apple (which is weird, as I've never had a generic email from them about a Feedback before) asking me to check if I still have WiFi issues since beta 4. I replied that I didn't and I've closed the feedback. Beta 4 has been quite good for me. Still some niggly issues but nothing major.

Idle battery drain over night still not fixed.... :-(

What are you considering excessive battery drain? I’m not seeing much difference in the battery drain on my 12 with 14.5 as previously with 14.4 or with my XR before that.

As an example, I took my phone off charge at 1am, it was on standby until 12 midday when it was on 93%, so 11 hours idle for a battery drain of 7%.

I suspect a lot of “bugs” like “idle battery drain over night” is actually due to a rogue third party app and not actually the phone being on standby/idle.

Wondering if anyone else has had this happen. Three times now on the last two betas I plugged in my phone at night it vibrates like it recognizes it is plugged in and I wake up to a dead phone. Apple charger on iPhone 12 pro max. When I look at battery there is a short up tick and then it continues to drop until dead

I have had this happen a time or two - 12 ProMax on an Anker stand.
Never did id the issue but a reboot seems to fix it. Had the issue with beta 1 and 3. Have not seen it on beta 4.

btw - if I plug it into the cable charger it charges just fine.

Background app refresh is not working well. Whatsapp: i get notifications but when i open the app, the messages are loading new.

What kind of charger? And are you using a MagSafe case? I have a 12 PM with a MagSafe case. I use Anker’s flip up charging stand. The phone will start to charge but invariably it stops charging. Works just fine if the case is not attached.

No longer seeing the "Restart HomePod" option at the bottom of the HomePod settings screen.
Not on the HomePod beta, but hoping it returns.

I installed b4 last night and took it off the charger at 4am and now @12:45pm at 93% only thing I have done all day is little text and checked email..

Seems like good to me.. more or less wanted everyone else chime on where they sit..I finally pulled the trigger from being on B2 which also treated me good!

“Very good” or “Excellent” would probably sum it up. Less than 1% drain per hour. That’s 4 days of pure standby time.

Yeah…I’d say pretty fair battery life on this beta.
