Having tons of issues where links sent via iMessage don’t show the link previews properly (Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, etc)

Force quitting the Messages app and reopening solves the issue, but I have no clue what causes the problem in the first place. Very annoying.

Speaking of the call banner, there's a bug that was introduced in iOS 14 in which if you answer a call using the banner, face detection stops working so you'll be inputting all kinds of things into your phone when you hold it to your ear to talk.
Yeah, I've noticed that occasionally too on the current stable build (14.4.1).

My iPhone 12PM stops charging at 80% when I leave it on the charger overnight (not optimized charging). Has happened for the past 2 days. It starts charging as soon as I unplug the charger and plug it back in. I think I've seen a similar bug on the B3 thread and I've had this happen to me once on B2. Anyone else?

Yes. Beta 2? or maybe 1.
I turned Optimized charging on, rebooted, turned it off. My problem seemed to go away
I use Anker charging stands.

Yea.. wrong thread/off topic. Theres a mac section of this website :)

That unfortunately doesn’t see as much action and often times people do look up here since this is a more active section when it comes to beta releases. Mac section doesn’t even use the “bug fixes and changes” threads since there isn’t much interest there. Again, you are right, this is correct info in a wrong thread, yes, but overlap in such situations is helpful for a lot of members who can then look at the Mac section for further information.

Using this logic, on every thread, it is worthwhile commenting an update of every single thread topic from that week.. just so people don't have to look elsewhere. Defeats the purpose of specific threads, and creates a huge overlap of topics.. making the threads unfocused and confusing to the casual reader.

The beta has been quite unstable. I've been having WiFi and Bluetooth issues, issues with AirPods Max (even on the latest firmware), furthermore iOS becomes sluggish at least once a day and I have to restart my iPhone. I would say these are major issues that need fixing prior to the official release.

Sorry to bump my question from yesterday morning, but is anyone else finding any widget stacks freezing? (Able to tap to open, but not scroll or long-press.) I been selectively deleting widgets from the stacks, but nothing seem to stop the occasional lock-up, except restarting. Thanks.

Not on my iPhone 12 Pro, no. It's most likely one of the apps in the stack causing the issue. Maybe try rebuilding the stack one app at a time until the issue happens again so you know.

I'm not having any of these issues on my end. I just checked and I've got 613(!) apps installed. No call drops, no wifi issues, no Bluetooth issues. Battery on my 12Pro and S6 Apple Watch on latest betas has been better...
If your issues are that bad I'd recommend a wipe/restore.

I jumped off the beta train from 14.5 beta 3 and went back to 14.4 because of too many issues on my iPhone. Can someone please confirm if following issues has been solved in 14.5 beta 4?

Camera issue - Watercolored photos in low-light condition.
Call blocking and identification was missing in settings.
Adguard Pro doesn't filtering ads properly.

Nope, sounds like you have a unique problem. I haven’t seen any of those issues.

What I did was not logic. It was in view of how things work here. Certainly, this "logic" if applied to everything will bring chaos to threads. Like our repeated to and fro on this subject is, far more than my one mention of macOS beta build number did.

That sounds more likely, it could even be a localised issue with your network.
It was a coincidence, the same time I upgraded to 14.5b4 T-mobile started network modernization. They went from B2 15MHz to B2 20 MHz, added B71 to one of my local towers. … or may be it is T-mobile carrier settings.

I left my Samsung Galaxy at my office and couldn’t check the network.

I also had iPhone XS that was connected to B12 and showed me better results than i12ProMax ( XS cannot connect to B2/66 in my place due to intel modem and was connected to stable B71)

I tested Att and had zero problems with modem. So it is T-mobile or T-mobile carrier settings. Time to switch from them I think.

P.S. IMO iPhone 12 test menu leaves much to be desired:)
P.S.2 I intentionally spelled “intel” starting with minuscule letter :) for their modems and
I’m Mac, not PC :))

Quick Summary - 12PM and IPP 11 2020

Not seeing any real improvement over beta 3 except for Unread Mail app count.

Fixes:
Mail Unread count total now equals all accounts totalled

New issues:
Intermittent wifi data drops
AirPods Pro usually require manual connect to IPP
AW4 (non beta linked to 12PM) I am seeing approx 5% per hour drop in battery

Battery:
Pretty close to beta 3 for both devices.

Aside from this it seems less stable than beta 3 on the 12PM but pretty much the same on the IPP.

Note: I no longer have the 11 ProMax for testing.

Anyone noticed with 14.5 when turning on airplane mode, Bluetooth always turns off? Even if I turn it on while I’m airplane mode, it doesn’t remember this like it used to.

I had this problem on beta 3 and only a reboot would fix it for me, but haven't run into it so far on beta 4.
