no, I think the whole point of App Library is that apple does the job for you. It’s basically for lazy people or people who don’t know making folders even exists, like my mum. I personally already have and always had them categorized into folders so it’s of no use for me. Wish I could deactivate that screen

Perhaps an option when you create the library? "Auto sort" or "User folders" Anything unfiled would go into an "unfiled folder"

Goood suggestion - for example, currently, there is not category for mapping. navigation or transit apps, so there's no easy way to get to them from the App Library. So yes, there should be an option for custom user categories. Also, I'd prefer a toggle to view all apps either as a list or a grid.

The Siri-suggestions widget has transparent text. This makes it easier to see which apps are part of the widget and which are added manually. I'm not sure if this is by design or a bug.

Are there any changes to the built in iOS scanner? OCR? Editing options? Smaller file sizes perhaps (multiple megabytes for one black and white A4 page with text currently is not very efficient....)?

Not really, no. Scan sizes are still much larger than Adobe Scan. Same 1 page doc was 3.2Mb using the Files scanner and 874kb using Adobe scan. Apple does a better job in processing the scan (smoothing the page, etc...) but at too high a cost in size.

Spotlight search now allows you to open the app directly, saving a click.

This is how I open many of my apps now. I used to have to open a folder and then scroll through pages to get them. It's super easy to swipe down and type the first few letters of the app name & click.

It was like this also in iOS 13, wasn't it?

dual SIMs in use, I guess.

When you’re deep down in the mem menu, long-pressing the back arrow at the top left brings up this pop-up, using which you can go to any of the previous levels including straight to the main menu. Just saves a couple swipes.

it could be quite useful in safari.

It’s been like that for a few years, at least in Safari. Expanding to other apps may be new though.

Pretty sure this is new in Settings > General > About

But...when you type, the app comes up below and then you tap it. That doesn't save you a tap. You are either hitting enter or you are hitting the app.

You're right. It doesn't (necessarily) save you a tap, however for most people, it means quicker launches as the enter key on the keyboard is easier to tap while searching that moving your finger up the screen and tapping the icon.

For some some people, like myself, it also saves a tap as I usually press enter (by habit) and then press on the app icon. Now however, I just don't have to do that second tap on the app icon.
