I had the same problem for weeks now with my Iphone XS. Yesterday I noticed that HomeKit used 3.9 GB of mobile data in just a few days (mobile data -> system services). I think this was causing my battery drain.
According to my provider I used 61 MB in the last 4 days. So that's not the thing for me.

Ha ha ha, my iPhone 6s on iOS 12.x loses 20+% overnight, not being used. I have 89% battery health. I also use power save mode almost all the time now. Battery usage experiences have sucked ever since I had to move on from my iPhone 4.
I noticed that for the iPhone 6s, 7 and SE the (supplied) modem firmware is downgraded from iOS 14 GM -> iOS 14.2 beta. Maybe there's a specific bug in there.

11 pro max. 100% battery health after 8 months. Wifi only. Amazing battery life. Ios 14.0.1. turned off sleep acitivites on watch and phone as one of members suggested. On 4G battery is worse than 13.7 but still quite good. Although on wifi it is a beast.

Used it do 40%. And went on a charger. 12h+ for sure. Love seeing note 20U SD users screenshooting 5hours and saying wow best battery life.

Today I logged out of iCloud on my iPhone SE 2016, rebooted, and logged back into iCloud. You need to check if every iCloud syncing toggle, and AppStore, is enabled afterwards.

While the phone does get hot when charging due to all the syncing going on, it had cool moments when running on battery. Fingers crossed.

Edit: Too soon, still severe drain (25%/hr) with the screen off, when not in Low Power Mode, Handoff off, Apple Watch 6 disconnected. Strangely enough it drains faster with the screen off.

Positive thing: 'Low Power Mode' appears to work.

Battery life on an older iPhone 7 that I use hasn't been great for some time, even with iOS 13, but seems a bit worse with iOS 14 these days. I'm also noticing that the phone gets warmer more often than it has in the past (prior to iOS 14).

Any idea what's causing this huge battery drain in standby? I loose about 4 % / hour on standby on my iPhone X. No app shows up in the battery stats and it's not even getting warm. I also had this issue in iOS 13 and there logging out of iCloud and back in didn't resolve this issue unfortunately. Battery health is at 89 % by the way.

I wasn't going to go to 14 but I bite anyways on my XS. I went from 96% to 94% battery health after the upgrade and had pretty bad battery drain. I did a restore to 14.0.1 and iCloud restore and I get much better battery life. on My S4 44 LTE I am getting significantly better battery with WOS 7 without any restores needed.

Updated the iPhone XR, Apple TV 4K, iPad Pro 10.5 and Watch Series 4, all to the latest software on Friday. No issues with any one of them, be it battery drain or poor performance, having to unpair or anything else like that.

This is not to say anything meaningful, just to throw it out there because those with problems outnumber the rest of us in the comments so thought I'd post for those who are undecided on upgrading.

Will see how the devices behave in the next few days.

I had those problems on iOS 13 with an iphone 11, but the log-out-of-ICloud-everywhere trick worked for me. From what I remember it was something to do with a corrupt cache somewhere causing continual re-syncs and hence battery (although that doesn’t seem to show up as separate app usage as its in the OS).

I thought after the latest update my battery had improved a bit but nope its still crap, Pre iOS 14 I would come home with 50-60% battery life, today I can home with 29% with my same usage. If I check battery stats there is nothing out of the normal draining the battery, nothing running mad in the background etc. For me ios 14 has issues.

How do you maintain your battery life to 100%? I'm already at 90% :(

Read about watch with iPhone causing battery problems and in theory a fix on the way. Any of you folks fall into that category

I dont know... I guess I am lucky. But I think it will start to fall under 100% soon.

Yes. I got my watch just as iOS 14 came out so im not sure which is to blame but I know im coming home with 20% battery now and I used to have 50% when phone was paired with a Fitbit

I had similar experience in iOS 13. Problem is note app keep syncing all the time.

My phone (iphone 7 plus) is not having any battery issues however my ipad air 2 is taking 2 days to charge to 100%.

I already tried signing out of iCloud and back in under iOS 13 on all my devices but that didn’t help unfortunately on my iPhone. By the way, if note syncing would cause the drain for me I think it would show up in the battery stats (which it doesn’t) or am I wrong?

I’ve also been experiencing horrible battery life with an iPhone X after upgrading to iOS 14. My battery health is at 86%, and I was barely able to make it to lunch time before low battery warnings starting kicking in. I found that Siri was running in the background a lot, but the battery usage app doesn’t appear to be truthful with how much juice Siri is using. I disabled Siri and now my battery is lasting much longer. I don’t use Siri much so it’s not much of a loss for me.

I suspect it may have something to do with the new option to allow Siri to learn from apps, but I have >100 apps installed and I’m not going to disable it for each and every app!

In the iOS 13 days I also had the problem that Siri was responsible for draining my iPhone X incredibly fast. Siri also showed up in the battery stats. After disabling "Hey, Siri" this problem was gone.

But battery life is still poor. I only get about 4.5 hours of screen on time (using mainly Instagram and Apollo).

Before I disabled Siri, I was barely getting 2 hours of screen-on time per charge. Today is the first day since I've disabled Siri. I can't even get a battery report right now, it just sits forever on a blank screen with a loading spinner. But right now it's 3:24pm, I've had ~2 hrs SOT today (my estimate), my phone has been off the charger for about 7 hours, and the battery is at 55%, which should mean about 4.5 hrs SOT total - that's a big improvement in my case.

iPhone X with iOS 14.01. Now at 85% battery health. Got a warning in the Battery control panel about degraded battery... a couple weeks ago I could get more than 5 hours screen time per day, lately I've been down to a little over three-and-a-half hours :(
