Hmm. After they went low rez they stopped updating too and when I turned on the Smart Stack all of them are blank when cycling through them. Looks like the widgets aren’t ready for prime time. I don’t really use them anyways but still a bit annoying since they are like the big new fancy feature of iOS 14.
Works on my iPad Pro, 11" 2018. YouTube were doing A/B testing, maybe they still are, so it's pot luck.
Apple have not made one using the new WidgetKit. Any old widgets are not available from Apple. Any iOS apps that used the old widget style will not work in iOS14 if they submit using Xcode 12 as well.
I've been on the developer beta from the beginning, and I installed the Gold Master yesterday. I deleted the beta profile today. Am i correct in assuming that I won't get the official release today because the GM is the same thing?
Yup, correct. GM and Public Release are the same build.
Thanks. I got that to work. Widgets work differently on the iPad. I can't just drag them to the home screen. They seem to only work in landscape mode. I need to do some digging.
So with the music widget, mine is stuck on the song (album art and name) I was playing before I installed 14. Why doesn’t it update which each song that is played?
Oh yea, iPad is only in landscape, and you can't have them on the Home Screen like iPhone, either on the Widget screen, or if you have it, the widget dock on the left of the Home Screen.

Probably not enough time/manpower. I wouldn't be surprised if more come in later releases. We got new ones come with the iOS 14 betas.
Any way to turn off the 3D touch click sound (iphone XS max) everytime I 3d touch something it makes a "click" but that click goes away whwn you flip the silent switch.

So my hue widget still works does that mean when they update the app it will lose that one to, because they don’t make them interactive it won’t work how it used it, I think I like the old ones better now
I’m guessing everyone has it and it will be gone in a future update. I did toggle it off. Hopefully that won’t screw anything up now or in the future!

Have a look at Apple's Shortcuts widget, might help.
All my widgets stopped working and went into a low res looking frozen mode. I rebooted and they were fine for awhile then froze again. Now I have just removed them all for now till it’s fixed.
I really like the banner notification for when calls come in.... actually that’s the only thing that has me a little bit excited for this update. Oh and the new default wallpaper looks real nice in dark mode! It’s the little things!
