iOS 14 Delay when Typing

This a new bug or a new feature? hard to believe it made it through the extensive public beta testing to exist without a fix for final release
 
With ios 14.0.1 out what are your feelings about this? (not just in imessage). Some times i feel it is slighty better now but in some occasions i notice the keyboard not being as fast as before.

It was the same for me, until I reset the keyboard via settings. So far so good!
 
iPhone 11 Pro. iOS 14. Same issue with keyboard lag in messages. Extremely annoying. Also, typing in general just doesn’t feel as snappy and fluid.

I did that before with little improvement. Im noticing the keyboard being faster when i have less tabs/apps open, while that didn't matter that much in ios 13.

That's done by just clicking "reset keyboard dictionary" in settings.
 
This is why I stay away from new iOS versions.

Something like this would drive me mad. Reminds me of the orientation bug on the iPhone 6 at launch. I’ll keep an eye on this thread as new versions come out

I have noticed with the keyboard open while in Messages on my iPad pro that these is some lag when switching message threads. With keyboard closed, lag doesn't exist when switching threads.

A few possibilities there ranging from not really being able to reproduce it either at all or well, to having the issue known but no fix available so far, to having a potential fix that requires more changes and needs more work, to having a fix that hasn't been added to a release yet for one reason or another, etc.

iPhone X 14.0.1

It's honestly driving me mad. Slow/laggy keyboard along with auto correct not really working. I'm amazed right now Apple with all the resources they have, still haven't addressed this with iOS 14.

Do a force reset. it is not the solution but it may help.
 
So.. did they finally fix this issue in 14.2 beta?? It’s annoying how they don’t fix these known issues when they were present even pre-14.0...
