iOS 14 Delay when Typing

I’m experiencing the lag too. Also, pulling down with one finger on home screen to search is frozen or blurred without icons. Bug city!

As much as we have all been reporting this one, hopefully it’s fixed with the next update.

really strange that this is an issue in the production version of the OS, given that this is very noticable, and the keyboards are Apple products! Have same issue with my smart keyboard, and gen 1 iPad Pro. However, doesn't seem to happen for every app, and even within the same app, seem to happen for specific dialogue boxes, and not others.

I only notice it in Messages, and mostly in conversations I have pinned at the top.

I’m so glad Apple have their priorities in order and are giving us a bunch of PC ‘inclusive’ emojis instead of fixing bugs like this.

I haven't, I've turned off the swipe to type today and evaluating if that helps.

i havent seen it on my 10.5 pro but crazy lag this past week on my iPhone XR.

well turning off the swipe to type didn't fix it. Fotunately many folks on the official apple message board are seeing the issue so hopefully sooner than later it gets fixed.

It gets worse if i have several apps in the background. But i have felt the keyboard far better for a while since ios 14.0.1 and after doing what i described.
