it can be. However I doubt we will see beta 2 this week due to the fact the public beta came out this week and there is normally a 2 week wait between beta 1 and beta 2. Unfortunately nothing this week.

That seems to be more likely, and the more likely reasoning for it as well.

Seems like 14.1 will likely be coming with the new iPhones and while it's possible that 14.1.x might be released for all phones as an update after the new phones are released, it sounds like the plan is to jump to 14.2 as the next larger update after that (with the current phones likely remaining with 14.0.x updates until then).

I'd like to see 14.2 beta 2 today, but no one ever knows for sure and we do it year after year, version after version, point update after point update.

So here's me increasing my post count by a modest 1, and hoping it is today and not next week.

Not to mention adding iPhones XR and 11 and iPad 8. Not sure why they pulled the XR. I got before it was pulled my XR is running great on 14.2 b1.

Not to be a downer but I don't think they are in a hurry to release beta 2 when everyhting works with watch series 6 on iOS 14, I went back to iOS 14 so I can have all the features working on the new watch.. Think we may get 14.0.x or 14.1 before the next beta but that's just a guess.

Apple released IOS 14 pretty late in the day on Wednesday last week. I remember it was like a 3 hour delay. I would love to see a public update to IOS 14 (like 14.0.1) soon. Maybe they can fix battery life complaints.

Idk from just seeing how beta were drop and with max os beta 8 dropped recently I think. It’s going to be next week now. I though it might be tomorow but I think it most likely next week now

Doesn't seem they would likely just jump to 14.1 so quickly and without new phones being released. Perhaps 14.0.1. But, then again, who knows.

A X.x release has rarely dropped without a beta so I think if we are going to see anything soon it'll be 14.0.1.

If the release notes were originally correct stating that support for the new iPad was coming this week, then today is the day. But seeing how they changed it to “coming soon” makes me think it was delayed to next week.
