Seems like 14.1 will likely be coming with the new iPhones and while it's possible that 14.1.x might be released for all phones as an update after the new phones are released, it sounds like the plan is to jump to 14.2 as the next larger update after that (with the current phones likely remaining with 14.0.x updates until then).
I'd like to see 14.2 beta 2 today, but no one ever knows for sure and we do it year after year, version after version, point update after point update.

Not to mention adding iPhones XR and 11 and iPad 8. Not sure why they pulled the XR. I got before it was pulled my XR is running great on 14.2 b1.
Not to be a downer but I don't think they are in a hurry to release beta 2 when everyhting works with watch series 6 on iOS 14, I went back to iOS 14 so I can have all the features working on the new watch.. Think we may get 14.0.x or 14.1 before the next beta but that's just a guess.

Doesn't seem they would likely just jump to 14.1 so quickly and without new phones being released. Perhaps 14.0.1. But, then again, who knows.iOS 14.1 today. Again no source. Just speculation, but I have a good feeling about this. Only time will tell.
A X.x release has rarely dropped without a beta so I think if we are going to see anything soon it'll be 14.0.1.
