Oh I am not disputing that. That’s why I made reference to my own memory being faulty. But my point is, we can avoid these arguments altogether with something like my spreadsheet. Then, as I said, we can speculate about the future, but be certain about the past.

But when I suggested this last year, the comments I got back were, um, quite strident in their opposition, which floored me. I’ll give it another try however.

It’s always driven me nuts as well since I went to PB only when they introduced it.

No point in that, the dev and public beta are identical. You just lag behind the new builds which can ensure you‘re not bricking your device... which is easily also avoided on the dev branch by not installing an update right away.

Wasn’t the first public beta a day after the 2nd Dev Beta, before moving to same day later on in the releases? Or am I having a brain fart.

First public beta is always a week after a dev beta. They only change to same week releases down the beta cycle.

Yeah he’s clearly not guessing.

They have no actual source. It’s fairly easy to guess, as 9to5Mac do it too, but then people got caught out on the odd occasion when they were wrong.

Some are showing “Public Beta 2” and some are showing “Developer Beta 2.”

Wonder if it depends which profile you installed. I remember the first profile that was available was pulled and replaced with a different one.
