I did last night (12 Pro Max), connected and clicked check for updates, took about 15-20 minutes (including download time). No issues.

Just confirming the obvious, that there won’t be a release next week:

My guess would be no considering the graphic posted just before you. Kinda seems pointless to push out a new version if they’re not even looking at feedback for the current build.

next week? we have at least 2 more betas. apple fitness and iOS 14.3 probably the middle of December.

There won't really be an announcement, like an event, it will just get released, like other .X releases.

I'm thinking it's going to be out by the 18th December.

I don’t know if that’s necessary, based on the feedback in the 14.3 beta thread. My guess is still next week with either full public release or GM for reviewers to do hands-on (you know Apple’s gonna be doing some serious marketing for it!).

I’m thinking another beta in week # 49, and then regular release in week # 50 before Hanukkah.

Probably for the umpteenth time: Apple does not have a release cadence based on how the feedback on MacRumors forums looks. They have them scheduled and they release according to that schedule.
