I believe They do need a week or two after vacation get their stuff together. That’s why. Even though they are a few builds ahead internally. Still.
Looks like some of the releases from previous years demonstrate that that's not necessarily the case.

Hoping we get something soon, I’m experiencing quite a bit of random jittery/jerky scrolling and it’s annoying. Debating doing a backup and restoring as new.

Wouldn’t bother. That’s just iOS 14 for you.

I know this is not the thread for this, but IOS 14.3.1/2 needs to happen now, particularly for the Homepods.

They have only gone back to work today I wouldn’t expect a beta for at least a few days

Internally they are ahead in terms of development/testing. It doesn't necessarily mean anything in particular when it comes to releasing something (beta or otherwise).
Okay be patient with me; I'm just trying to understand.

So Apple just getting back to work today after a holiday break means they won't release anything because.......? It seems to me if they have several builds ready for testing, a Monday release would be most beneficial for the testing community.
