I am intrigued by this statement. Where are you hearing this?

I am also intrigued. Never heard of such event and probs doesn’t exist. This would be more suited to WWDC.

Sounds like mini WWDC mid year sessions. Now that they’ve got the format locked in, makes sense. They don’t need to bring everyone to San Jose to do this, so it doesn’t have to be limited to June.

Could be nothing but this twitter account is teasing that 14.5 could be a bigger update.

That’s a pretty slender reed upon which to base any hope. But I do think it will be a more substantial update.

Well this article may explain why we seem to have gotten 14.4 so quickly.

If that’s the case, we may not see 14.5b1 as soon as we thought.

I thought the same thing. I'm going off the topic of iOS 14, but I'm sure they will eventually get back to doing WWDC in person, but something like this is a great way to keep things going throughout the year, instead of like you said, limited to June. Do the big announcements/road map in June and then set up sessions like this one starting say end of June and do more based on other features in the weeks/months to follow. It gives them all the time in the world to really dive in and I think it could go a long way in terms of quality/usability (something I've seen a lot of people say they are disappointed with in the new widgets).

I will also say that I actually enjoyed watching the most recent keynotes. This format really enables them to get to the point. All the stuff you want to hear without all the extra filler that wasn't always needed.

14.5 beta 1 today.....
Who knows? I don’t think it will be a big update at all just like 14.4 will be small with focus on privacy and tracking that’s it, iOS 15 will be the best big update now
