Expect 14.4.1 or something like it won’t be 14.5 trust me they had to rush 14.4 out the door so there is 14.4.1 heading our way with more bug fixes!

14.5 won’t be out till March

Don’t forget Apple wants to add the privacy App Tracking feature. January 28th was Data Privacy Day. So I would think Apple wants this out sooner than later.

iOS 14.5 beta 1 Tuesday. ?

I agree with John that our next beta will most likely be 14.5, as 14.4 will fully release with a 14.4.1 hot fix release only happening should the need arise while beta testers are on the 14.5 cycle.

All speculation of course in keeping with the nature of this thread.

I'm still wondering what happened to the advanced wallpaper settings that we saw prior to the iOS 14 announcement. I doubt it's a big change to get included in a 14.X release, curious if they will release in iOS 15 or if it got scrapped. I am trying to think what new features they can include in 14, as the last .X updates were pretty much just bug fixes and there is usually a bigger update in Spring.

I still laugh at people who bark stuff out without knowing what it means.

(major).(minor).(revision or hot fix)

Saying 14.4.1 would mean that there was a massive problem that needed to be worked on specifically and re-released with a fix. Releasing as 14.4.1 all because they're hesitant to release code they've had "code complete" months again, while breaking code convention, would be absolutely ridiculous. Besides, this is Apple - if a lawsuit happens, they've got the money to cover litigation and then some.

Personally, I'm excited to see what 14.5 comes with and how it's going to break the smack of these apps who may be tightly wound by their 3rd party data pipeline. My guess is things may look a little odd at first. I just enjoy app chaos a wee bit much. :p

(Oh, and 14.4 literally had a Winter Break. By no means was 14.4 "Rushed")

It’s really not. Still lots of issues. Stuttering when swiping up, settings app freezes from time to time and people still have the green tint issues.
I've had none of those issues on my iPhone 12 Pro. What model do you have? Have you tried resetting/restoring or even setting up as new?
