Downloading now :)
Was downloading!! Now gone!!
Was having a similar glitch - weird. Closed settings and retried and things seem more normal.

EDIT: Seems I can't leave the software update screen or else the download (and, presumably, installation) process will interrupt.

Rebooted, back to downloading again :D

Why is there no beta 2? It’s just says 14.5!
Didn't display correctly for me until I closed and relaunched the Settings app and then again checked for updates. Now it has gone back to just "iOS 14.5" after interrupting itself several times but I don't care - I'm just trying to keep my device awake and on the Software Update screen until it successfully completes.

Seems 14.5 makes changes to the update infrastructure on a level more than just skin-deep and they're clearly obviously needless-to-say still working on it

The folks who constantly show up in this thread five minutes prior to 1:00pm EST and post "nothing today" need to stop. Have we not learned ANYTHING from Apple often releasing betas as late as ten minutes past the hour?
If we concur to what you are saying then no-one should say anything on this thread.
Because EVERYTHING that ANYONE has said on his thread has been proven to be false sometime or the other by Apple.
So should EVERYONE stop saying to their heart's wish?

Oh, please. There's a huge difference between that vs. people pronouncing "nothing" five minutes before 1pm on a likely release day.

What's the point? Why not just wait until 1:05 or 1:10 before posting "nothing today"?

I feel like this happens to you all the time: you prematurely announce that there's no release, only to see the release show up five minutes later. Obviously you're free to do whatever you want and post whatever you want, but it's annoying as hell.
