iOS 14 Release Speculation

No, but I'm willing to bet the test and release teams are small. We saw it way back with iOS 13 how much they fumbled on doing 2 releases at once (a security fix branch + a beta branch). Insinuate all you want, but Apple has had a history of fumbling releases. There's absolutely no rush in getting an OS update (especially one that could affect so many 3rd party releases) out to market if there's a chance of mixing it to crap.

My guess is RC next week they are working on it in house or there could still be a 2 week cycle everyone things it’s coming out for the event on the 23rd but it could come after so who knows we just got to wait and see

I would like a macOS beta update sooner than next week, the Save dialog box resizing issue is an annoyance. iOS beta is fine, can wait few more days. At this point it is just the excitement and anticipation of a new beta. Hoping for both betas soon.

Beta 3 is an H build, no way they're ready to release an RC. There are at least a few more Betas left.
 
Not sure why people keep thinking the final 14.5 release has to be out for the rumored event on 3/23. They could announce products that day with an April ship date and then release 14.5 in early April.

My prediction is no beta this week, a new beta next week and final release in April.

To be fair on a positive note, I’m glad it’s taking longer for the beta as it means they are working on it more and more will be fixed, beta 3 hasn’t been great so the longer the better for us I guess :)

Thursday releases are extremely rare.

RC next week, with release 23rd or 30th. Looking like new iPad being released 2nd April, so pre-order 26th March.
