Wow. You're seeing public beta already? I'm trying here. Still not seeing anything new with PB6 installed.
I’m using a Developer profile though I’m not a developer. But it shows as public most times.
So yet again, I think for the third time, you’ve come out with a preposterous statement and been proven wrong. Why do you keep doing this?
This is getting more betas than most X.0 releases. Hope that means they got all the bugs out. (sigh)
Release candidate next week and general release 4/21? Do they have a parallel team working on iOS 15? By the time this drops, we'll be less than 7 weeks out from WWDC.

I highly doubt the final version will be out until May . We will have more betas before then .
By the time it’s bug free there will be no need for watch unlock because none of us will e wearing masks .
Agreed, I'm totally glad they're taking their time putting this out. Especially with the tracking stuff, the crew totally needs to make sure they're doing it right. Last thing Apple needs is bugs and rejections based off that, on top of the other crap they introduced.
If it was that important, they could have splintered that code base and place it in a micro revision. Granted, that would totally go against the rules of versioning, but Apple wasn't going to derail the entire beta just to push out mask payments.
FYI there will always be an RC released. They won’t go from beta to final release, as that’s not how it works.

They have been working on iOS 15 for well over a year now, and its successor for a while too.
Either an event or press releases will be coming next week. Same true for release of 14.5. Nearly 100% lock after reading the following:

Still time for invites to go out today, even with the beta release. Perhaps beta 7 today, RC on Friday and public release next week.
Whilst I fully expect 14.5 next week, the new find my stuff works in 14.3 and above.

With this statement, I assume apple has merely just reduced its order size down a bit to relieve the pressure, now in regards to how much this has been reduced hasn’t actually been released, this could just be 10% reduction, which will have a small impact on availability after initial launch.
This article in no way means a launch isn’t still happening, it just means after the initial stock has gone, consumers might be waiting a while to receive their new iPads.’
if there is an order date this month it might be worth getting up early to order
It’s worth noting that it’s not worth looking at events prior to COVID, as since then they’ve been prerecorded, so they’ve had shorter gaps. So, until that stops, only worth looking at the 2020 events for a guide.

Sadly that's not the case. Apple software release schedule in recent years has shown that they release software based on hardware rather than anything else. The only reason iOS 14.5 has so many betas is just because the event has been delayed for some reason.
And 14.0 release is far, far from a disaster.
