iOS 14.6 beta 1 tomorrow?

Personally, I prefer they update the 14.5 public release from the RC and leave 14.6 till later.

I doubt we’ll ever see a 14.6 release at all, and assume primary work right now will be around iOS 15. Any further releases for iOS 14 would be a 14.5.1 and up release probably for security reasons.

I think for sure we'll see a 14.6. It may not necessarily have user facing features but a .x release can also have API changes to match Xcode or other under the hood updates. It could also enable new services or iCloud changes that Apple may want to launch before iOS 15 releases to public.

I read somewhere from a tech blog that says it has visit logs from Cupertino with iPhones running from iOS 14-14.5 and even iOS 15 but 14.6 or further.

As we are still more that FIVE MONTHS (!) away from iOS 15 public release, I am sure we will see a 14.6 or even 14.7!
iOS 14 has almost the half of it's lifespan ahead of it!
And don't forget: they can easily have iOS 14.x and 15 in beta stage at the same time as they are using different profiles. Has been like that last year with 13.6 / 13.7 and 14 beta.

Yes, we will see more iOS 14.x version, I am really really sure!

iOS 15 makes sense, as they start that very early with major releases. They have many different teams working on testing, and they cycle, once that version being worked on is released.

iOS 14.6 will happen, maybe even iOS 14.7 too. Remember, iOS 15 won't come out until October. We got iOS 13.6 and 13.7 after WWDC last year.

But 13.6 and 13.7 did not give out any significant features.

iOS 15 b1, dreading it now. Someone shoot me - yes I know I don’t have to download it, but it’s like giving a homeless person crack and saying don’t smoke this. It’s gonna happen!
Remember how smooth iOS 14 beta 1 was? Compared to whatever was current for iOS 13 at the time, it was night and day for me. But I had WAY too many issues on 13..

So? I don’t see what that means in regards to what I said? I never said that iOS 14.6 or 14.7 would have significant features. Just that I expect at least one, if not both.

Also, I’m already half right, as we have 14.6b1.
