I find it interesting that they still haven't expanded TestFlight support for App Clips. I have no intent to develop any for my apps, but it seems like a feature that you really need a lot of lead time to test and make sure you get it right.

There are some apps that are using App Clips via TestFlight. One being the app "Dark Noise"

Not a chance this week. I know things are a bit different this year but there has never been a x.0 update where betas 1, 2 and 3 went less than 2 weeks each. The last time was iOS 5 which beta 3 went 11 days for whatever reason. Every one since has been the standard 13-14 day cycle.

Now WWDC was 2 weeks last this year. But that is assuming the fall event isnt going to be later equally to make a normal beta cycle.

or the one after that, or the one after that, or the one after that... it will get sorted out before GA, but when remains to be seen...

Correct. And this highlights the fallacy of thinking that betas are uniformly, progressively improving as an end user experience as they move along.

They don’t always.

For all we know, Apple is using its own widgets now to stress test the widget “engine”, particularly since this is its first time out there. So, they may be introducing different stressors on them in each beta to see how they react as a class (not on any one particular machine). That’s the advantage to them of these publicly-available betas: they can supplement their own internal data and sims with a much larger dataset derived from people using these things in real world situations.

I turned my phone iOS 13 beta 3 to iOS 13.6 with clean setup (i downloaded firmware from ipsw.me), with XR iOS 13 with clean setup make my battery longer and also more performance. I have been using my XR since 16 month and this my first clean setup.

Exactly, plus their internal builds are much further along than what we are using. This also explains why we've not got some of the simpler ones that replace the old style Apple widgets either.

No way will it be tomorrow. We’ve only seen 1 Friday Beta, from memory, and that was due to the version releases earlier in the week being pulled due to bricking phones, or something show stopper like.

It’s going to be next week. Likely Tuesday.
