It took me years to make a complete break from Windows to Mac, but after waiting and waiting forever for a Windows phone, and having it's upgrades discontinued, I'd had enough. I gave all my equipment, including my kids old Zunes, my Bands 1 and 2, all my Lumia phones, laptops and desktops, and gave them all the heave-hoe! Their ever changing software never seemed connected like I knew iOS was. Now I have my iPhone, iPad, and MacBook Air to keep me connected. Easily. Even when I upgrade equipment, those updates seem quite seamless.

One of the few things I did miss from Windows were their, well… windows. More specifically from Windows 10. And even more specifically, Windows 10 phone. They were fun to flip and slide all around the face of the screen. Today, I’ve read about the new iOS14 update we’ll be getting this year. I know the softwares makeup is different, with different capabilities, but it’s close enough to intrigue me. I’m really looking forward to this upgrade.

Beta 1 has been surprisingly good. I'm finding bugs, sure, but they're not major ones and I'm currently much happier with the iOS 14 beta bugs than I was with my iOS 13 tough-luck-these-are-forever bugs. So I doubt there's a rush for beta 2. In fact, I'm concerned things will get worse before they get better :)
What I've noticed is that people seem to have forgotten how good the first beta of iOS 13 was. I'm not saying 14 is going to end up like 13 because I have no crystal ball but it just needs to be pointed out.

I, too, am very happy with iOS 14 at the moment but I know things can change quickly when it comes to Apple.

Interesting, I remember iOS 13 beta 1 as being terrible.

Sorry if this has been asked, I did not see anything but since we are 1 week into the Developer Beta, is it safe to assume maybe tomorrow the Public Beta will release? And if we are already signed up and doing iOS13 Public Beta's, will we be able to automatically download iOS14 or will we have to re enroll? I am currently running iOS13.6 PB.

Thanks!!

Public beta has traditionally been the same release as Dev beta 2 so most likely next Monday or Tuesday

Those are my thoughts as well. Going back to when the first PB for iOS 13 was released, it was two weeks after WWDC, so I wouldn't expect Apple to release the first PB for iOS 14 until next week at the earliest.

Hopefully soon to try it out...think I will download just iPhone. Not sure I’m desperate for the watch or iPad version

iOS 13 beta one was buggy enough that Apple included a warning to ‘thrill seekers’ not to install it.

Personally I did have too many issues with it, but I never forgot it was a beta

The developer beta is actually quite stable and it is very easy to get a developer Beta profile. That said I still wouldn't recommend putting it on your primary device, but if you have a spare iPhone lying around why not try it (I have it installed on an old iPhone 7 already...)

iOS 13 was absolutely terrible for basically the whole beta season through 13.1 for me. iOS 14 has some small issues but overall it’s night and day different from last year (so far)

That's something nice to hope for, even if it won't come tonight this has made me happier!
I suspect that the "other" space bug is enough of a showstopper to justify an earlier beta. Seems to be happening to a lot of people.

If some people are actually unable to take pictures/download apps/save files because of this bug then yes, I agree. But I have heard some people say that once you need the space, it frees it up without an issue? So not sure how serious they may find this bug.

I've also seen people getting "full disk" errors. When that starts happening, its new beta time!
