Seems like he needs to learn about vetting leaks too. Especially for a guy that seems so snarky.

That being said, I'm throwing in my vote for tomorrow for 14.0b7. would love to see a fix to reinstate the ability to swipe right to exit in-app Safari.

This totally. Besides the bad wording for my PowerBeats Pro, this has really been bugging me lol

The iPhone event wouldn’t start that early in the day.

Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me with all the unusual things with this release cycle. Previously it would be said that you'd don't see a beta for the WatchOS that is a higher number than iOS.

That EST thing is bugging me, as someone else said, Apple work on PDT (or whatever it is in Cupertino).

OPs source is a Telegram group chat that has already goofed on predicting B6 or seeing 13.7 coming. No insider knowledge to be found here.

Ahh is it? I did think I saw it somewhere else too though. They were on the money, again, this time.

Right...I edited my post to clarify :)
Hopefully we will see IOS 14 this month!

Mr. Prosser might actually mean EST. Apple has done product web only releases that early, for example the ipad magic keyboard went live ordering at I believe it was 1030 or 11 EST, ipad pro 2020 was around the same time give or take. 9PST would be 12EST and Apple has normally done web only launches earlier than that.

Everybody needs to learn about timezones, apparently, as NOBODY is in any standard time at the moment, eastern or pacific.

I'll go back into my cave now.

Actually some states don’t change to DST, for example Arizona. So wouldn’t they be in standard time year round ? But what do I know, most of the time I work in GMT anyway

What's your feeling, can we expect a beta 7 for IOS 14 today ?

I would like to think so, but the WatchOS release yesterday has killed any of my confidence in guessing! If it was coming today, then why was WatchOS on it's own yesterday. I don't recall that ever happening before. Someone might find evidence otherwise, but I couldn't find some in a quick google - too tired to put more effort in! lol.

Looks like beta 7 for WatchOS only so far

Until Apple announces it. nothing is official.

Why does everybody think that we already get GM next week? Current beta is pretty unstable and laggy on iPhone 8.
GM is in 2 weeks I believe

A lot of it is based on there being *something* from Apple about the new watches next week. Which, at best is likely to be for Pre-Orders and either is just an online update, or an event.

WatchOS 7 requires iOS 14, therefore a GM has to come out at least a week before the Public release.

Historically, GM has come out after an event to show the new phones, watches, etc. This year is just totally different, so it's really hard to tell for certain about GM, Public release, etc. The only thing that was easy to educatedly guess was the beta releases. Which went pear shaped due to WatchOS 7 B7 coming out before iOS 14 B7.

After sleeping on it, I do wonder if iOS b6 was the last build which will become GM. I know it doesn't end with an 'a' like people say it should, but that would be the only reason I would have thought they would release WatchOS7 B7 without a corresponding iOS 14 B7.

It could just be that they didn‘t want to release both 13.7 stable and 14b7. Don‘t read too much into watchOS being released alone.

Beta 6 is wonderful on my 11 pro
If I Didn’t know it was a beta I wouldn’t see any difference with a « stable » release.
The biggest bugs for me are the calendar scroll where the month's name do not change and still the same issue with Mail app that do not sync correctly since IO13 beta1 !!!!

While you're in your cave, read up on DST.

Arizona and Hawaii don't. Neither do several US possessions (Puerto Rico, Guam and others).

Back on topic... hoping for DP7 today... seeing a few odd issues the past couple of days with geolocation - especially with my Arlo cameras...

Touche on the similarly pedantic people (@dwfaust @Jimpilot) I would offer that my " eastern or pacific " qualifier relives me of being mostly wrong on a very small subset.

Anyway, carry on...
