Beta 6 is wonderful on my 11 pro
If I Didn’t know it was a beta I wouldn’t see any difference with a « stable » release.

The biggest bugs for me are the calendar scroll where the month's name do not change and still the same issue with Mail app that do not sync correctly since IO13 beta1 !!!!
Mine is gettin hot all of the time with massive battery drain. (100 → 50% in less than an hour) and basic tasks like opening an app, using app switcher, scrolling or typing on keyboard takes ages with massive lag.
Idk man I reported everything but I just don't see a GM anytime soon. They probably need to tweak some under the hood improvements. My guess is 2 - 3 betas and than a GM in early october.

That would be very funny but surprised to have only 1 beta on the weekly beta cycle
Maybe it means the full release is right around the corner? In the next week or so?
There were reports that IOS 14 would still be released in September

Have you tried a hard reset? Or checking in the battery app to see which apps are using all the power? You may have a runaway process in one of those apps, which would explain both the battery drain and the heat.

ugh re all the time zone posts. I'm sure Prosser simply messed up. Don't read anything into that.

What does the battery settings applet show is consuming all of the battery? I had a situation last week where I was seeing something similar. A quick check of the battery info in settings showed that the FordPass app had used about 71% of my battery.

It could just be that they didn‘t want to release both 13.7 stable and 14b7. Don‘t read too much into watchOS being released alone.

I don't think there's ever been a scenario, other than final iOS build before GM, where we're had a later DB release for the watch though. It's a total anomaly, as a new WatchOS DB required the respective iOS DB.

I'm not saying there's no more iOS betas until GM, I'm just saying that now, I'm not ruling it out. I'm also expecting DB7 today. I'm a walking contradiction due to this whole random year! lol

GM would have to come out first. It won't got from DB6 to release. So a week to public release would only be the case if we get GM today.

So are we today speculating with belief and confidence (iOS 14 beta 7 today) or are we speculating doubtfully and diplomatically (I think Apple will drop beta 7 today but can't be sure)? 😁

I'm expecting it, but I'm only like 50% confident after all the last few days 😂

I‘m almost certain it hits today. I have no sources other than my gut though.

I wouldn‘t read too much into watchOS Beta being released without a corresponding iOS. This has happened before and they‘re never really in sync in term of releases anyways. They‘re a separate device categories anyways. The only thing they have in common is that wOS 7 requires iOS 14, other than that the beta releases don‘t have to be in sync if compatibility remains.

I am expecting it and feel about 80% confident. I don't see them announcing the Watch until at least next Tuesday, pre-orders Friday and then general release the following Friday. At least. So that gives us a beta of iOS 14 today, another next Tues/Weds which could also be the GM/RC, with final release the Weds before the Watch is available for delivery/walk-in purchase That would correlate nicely to a "normal" year.

I truly hope it drops today as this has BY FAR been the worst beta for me on my iPhone 11 Pro Max...fingers crossed
I haven’t had any issues with Beta 7, apart from the placeholder text on the AirPods notification. I would suggest doing a restore at some point, might help resolving some of the issues you’re experiencing.

Although I’m waiting impatiently for the next few minutes like everyone else, I can’t help to think it’s been awhile since we’ve had a release later in the day.
