Pretty sure one of the release notes said they would be adding back a feature this week, think it was WatchOS and the faces, so I’d expect beta 2 this week.

I would usually agree with you, but the beta 1 notes stated that support for iPad 8th gen would be coming this week, so I wouldn't be surprised if we saw it earlier than the usual 2 weeks. Plus the XR and 11 are also missing.
It doesn't. Not any more, anyway :) Originally it said next week, now it says ...

might not necessarily see something at 1PM eastern today, look what time 14.0 public release and 14.2 beta were released at. who knows?! 🤷‍♂️ could be tomorrow/wednesday also.

Curious if the Public Beta had some of the health items re-added.
wonder what the build number is for the public version?
It's pretty much always the same build as the developer version:
[automerge]1600710789[/automerge]
No Update on dev Beta Channel so far. Apple is wierd
Wasn't the developer beta already released last week?

yes but Apple pulled the XR and another beta update last week. So they are hoping beta 1 drops for them.

Why isn’t this thread pinned anymore?
Seems like the reasoning might have been related to the thread being about the release of iOS 14 and now that it has been released it's not that prominent of a thread.

However, based on this type of thread being a speculation one for basically any iOS 14 updates, not just the initial 14.0 release, similar to how iOS 13 and previous speculation threads have been, it seems like it will continue being a busy one for a while and makes sense to continue being one of the pinned ones.
