Scrollbars that scroll. Also Samsung Internet. Pull down to reload - it can't be that hard so why ignore what is common standard for mobile browser's.

When printing, if dark mode is on, ends up printing document with white on black. Using toner or ink. Not nice.

App badge? Tap and hold brings up the notifications.

I've never gotten the App Store to show a badge. And inside, if I refresh 3x it shows apps with updates available.

Apple will lack production models in the summer for the fall releases of new iPhones. That is why iOS is so bad until sometimes March. But not why older models are suffering. Those like the XS Max should be ideally suited.

Free arrangement of icons on desktop. Also no need to have apps on the desktop.

For Apple to be a better citizen with the security community. No fake maps to appease China or Russia etc. No Facebook. It's a mess that will never get fixed. It's not installed by default, maybe look for a new better tool.

PS: TV+ is terrible UI and user experience. So disappointed.

For iOS 14 in general:
  • More editing tools on Photos app (just like those in MacOS version)
  • Aspect ratio, resolution and frame rate settings on Camera app
  • HTML signature option on Mail app
  • Offline maps
  • Multi user support
For iPadOS 14:
  • Support for multiple displays
  • Desktop like mouse support (current cursor acts like a touching finger)
  • Xcode app
  • Final Cut, Motion & Compressor apps (doesn't have to be the fully fledged desktop versions)
  • Logic app or a more advanced GarageBand
  • Preview app

Just like every other device that uses any kind of authentication, I'm sure if they ever add this feature, you would be able to choose which apps to be allowed to use Face ID.
Yes at least give a choice of which and what kind of time thresholds for each app.

The one that annoys me about 2FA is when I'm on my freaking iPhone but it sends me a code. I'm using the device! Not that I have too much trouble remembering a six digit #, but there's no way for me to enter the code while the popup with it showing is still active. Can't the system be smart enough to detect I'm using one of my devices and not a separate browser??

My Faves:

Dismissable Banner for Incoming Calls
Homebar management; although, how exactly would this work. You can't totally disable or how do you get out of the app? Would you have to do some weird gesture first that you wouldn't ever do by accident to make the Homebar appear?
Customizable iMessaging colors, etc... The one I want since forever is why can't you freaking lock certain contacts to the top?? Other messaging apps have this simple feature.

We need a little speaker-icon on Safari tabs like on MacOS so you actually know which tab is the one that the video/ sound is coming from. Annoying it’s not there right now.

I don't want to write an essay about Files, but - at least for my needs - it's still very primitive, kinda like a three-legged spider. Since there is no file structure like on a traditional desktop OS, Files has obvious limitations, but even so, it's still way too primitive IMHO.

Wait wait I want to post mine:
1) Automatic App Updates - yeah they still don't automatically update. I have to tell it to update all every few days. Usually with 15+ updates in tow - most usually have updates that were released days prior to me checking.
2) Options menu in the Camera app - why do I have to go to Settings to choose video/picture format/mode? Seriously. This seems so ridiculous.
3) Ability to show watch heart-rate on home/lock screen of phone.
4) Ability to show rings (exercise) on home/lock screen of phone.
5) Enforce more highly downloaded apps to use iOS gestures. - YouTube is finally starting to implement some but damn, why did it take so long? I hate having to hit a back button when most apps use Swipe gestures.

Those are my top 5 that I can think of.

  1. stop regular phone, and FaceTime audio/video calls from hijacking my entire screen and rendering my phone unusable. And,
  2. add the option to "ignore" calls, to allow calls to ring in the background, in the notification center, for instance. As of now, pressing "Decline" will notify the caller of my intention to ignore them as they will either go to voicemail or be given the notification that "___ is unavailable for FaceTime". "Ignore" will allow ignoring without the other party knowing that they were ignored, as a call will continue to ring until it is naturally sent to voicemail or continue to ring in the case of a FaceTime Audio/Video call.

I have asked for this on several releases - I want at least the option to have <> Safari screens on iPhone on the top of the screen rather than the bottom. iPhone is the only Safari that has on bottom - also on top for news etc.

1. Smart albums / playlists in the photos and music apps. How is this feature still missing from iOS / iPadOS?! Such a pain that I can't do this outside of my MacBook.

2. The music app needs to be fleshed out. In particular it needs the ability to edit song metadata and import song from the files app. Importing isn't as important to me, but it drives me crazy that I still can't edit song in iOS.

I don’t know what’s new they can bring in iOS 14.. iOS is pretty much complete. one main thing they need to open up is Siri Shortcuts. Having them run automatically without user intervention in all situations. Not just when they feel that it should

Making All Games into their own Screen Space in the Home Screen. Much like how App Store has Games in its own Category. I have far too many Games and their icons are littered everywhere.

Otherwise nothing.

Spend the whole year tracking down and fixing bug. I dont want any more iOS or macOS features.

iOS has a lot that they need to do, its far from even being complete,

1. clipboard history
so why does iOS doesnt have this it's very simple to have clipboard history.

2. quick contact search in the dialer
cant you quick search or call via the dialer, do you really have to go to contacts just to search who to call, when you can their name via numbers which represents letters btw

3. split screen on iPhones
we have a 6.1 to 6.4 inch iphones, even getting 6.7 inch in the upcoming phones yet no split screen support, its very useful, if they can have it on iPads why not on iPhones

4. minimized or small call banners
this is so simple too, i dont want for someone to call me occupy the whole screen, cant the call just occupy a very small portion of the screen or have an option for it to run in the background

5. secured or private folder
if someone borrows your phone or looks at your photo gallery, there you can store everything from apps to photos to videos to everything

6. dual messenger
if you are a business or office person, you have different account for personal and work, you want both accounts in your messenger, whatsapp, viber or telegram to be open at the same time
since they are offering dual sims, rather than having 2 phones with different messaging accounts why dont they have this option particularly for chatting apps.

7. always on display
this is very useful you dont want to wake or turn on the phone just to look at the time or even notifications

8. maximum power saving mode
turns your phone into a call or messaging only phone for emergency

there's a lot of features also in iPad but thats for iPad OS.

Speaking just from the perspective of the iPhone, I’m mostly okay with it. A few things I’d like to see are:
  • Setting to hide the home-bar indicator.
  • Some customization options for the Music App
  • Smart album compatibility in Photos.
  • Auto delete completed Reminders after 30 days.

I think iPadOS needs more work.
