Yea. Public beta is always the same build as the Dev build it followsSame built es dev?
iOS 15 is fine on my iPhone XR. However, iPadOS 15 was a train wreck. The Home page changes were stupid and ugly and less useful than 14.x, and the interface changes to Safari were even worse. I hated it. iPadOS 15 must have been written by monkees on loan from the Google Zoo. It sucks so bad that I downgraded to 14.8, and I’ve never downgraded any OS from any company ever in the past.I’ve been on the iOS 15 beta since B1 and can certainly understand someone not particularly liking it but I think most iOS aficionados get used to the new upgrade. Personally I wouldn’t revert back to iOS 14. I have an iPad and phone both running 15.1
I will say this though, Apple can certainly take some lessons from android in the widget department. I know developers create the widgets but geez, maybe they need to call up some android widget developers and ask for help.
Is it perhaps because its a Wiki thread?@Banglazed : off topic but in forum. Do you know why the iOS 15 forum can’t be made into a Home Screen shortcut? I’ve been able to do it on every other forum but when I try to make iOS 15 forum a shortcut it always just brings up the previous page, the forum list.
If I do it in any previous forum, that iOS version’s page is linked.

My observation is that all threads by users point to the home page “https://forums.macrumors.com/?_pwa=1” while MR posts do not when trying to add to Home Screen. I tried to edit the URL when trying to add it but it’s not editable when adding to Home Screen. Maybe a staff could provide more insight into it.Is it perhaps because its a Wiki thread?

This is just my opinion but 15.1 has some issues and is not any different from 15.0 aside from SharePlay only and its not working that great ..so if you don’t care about SharePlay right this second . Do Not Upgrade.. just my opinionQuestion, if we update to 15.1, I forget did Apple enable a way for us to upgrade to a new iPhone 13 without having to wait for the new beta profile? I remember something like this earlier this year?

If I remember correctly, iOS devices prompt you to update to the version of iOS you’re restoring your iPad from. i.e. if your backup is 14.8 and the device is running 14.7, it prompts an update to 14.8. I’m not sure if this is exactly how it works, but the only time I ever got a prompt to update to the newest version during setup was when I was setting up my mom’s new iPad, which shipped with 14.5 but her iPad was on 14.6.Question, if we update to 15.1, I forget did Apple enable a way for us to upgrade to a new iPhone 13 without having to wait for the new beta profile? I do remember them mentioning something like this in that they will prompt that "other versions are available" or something like that. Plus, I am curious to see what is actually backed up and transmitted with this redesigned "Prepare for New iPhone" option.Question, if we update to 15.1, I forget did Apple enable a way for us to upgrade to a new iPhone 13 without having to wait for the new beta profile? (Almost) Everything new in 15.1b1Wondering the same thing too.
Also, when could we expect iOS 15.1 for general public release? In 2 months time?
Thanks for the link! It's hard to keep up with what's new/dropped, etc. since I don't follow as closely as I used to.
Entertaining reading this morning, folks. Thanks!
For the first time in as long as I can remember, upgrading OTA introduced a plethora of bugs and I ended up doing a full reset. Bluetooth audio was randomly pausing itself in the car. Swiping down for spotlight would bring up the search bar but no keyboard. These issues persisted through soft and hard reboots. So far so good after the reset last night.
My Macbooks are so old I don't even know how the Finder update works. Two Pros I've kept just for music library management (before I got into Apple Music) are from 2008 and 2010 and still work, albeit molasses in Wisconsin January slow.To sound like a broken record here, soz, I went from b8 to RC and to final release the old fashioned way, Finder alt select IPSW, and didn’t feel any of the bugs OTA caused. Having done that, used the same method for a clean start with 15.1.
So far, bar the iPhone storage bug, so good 👍🏼
Something is really bugging me in iOS 15. If I want to delete an whole message tread I now have to check each message one by one . In iOS 14 I only touched one , then more and had the choice to delete all .
Is this fixed now in 15.1 Beta 1 ?
My current backup can trace it's roots to my iPhone 3G. I've never set up as a new phone.
