thanks ! exactly what i was hopingFor those wondering, iOS 15.1 beta is available on the new iPhones. When using another iPhone with a beta to set up, it will ask you if you want to stay on the beta program and will download 15.1 before transferring your data. I don't know if it works if you restore from iCloud or a manual backup directly.
Did you check the build number when you got the new device? According to Zollotech unboxing video, it showed the build number at 19A341 which is between beta 8 and RC build. Hence, then prompt you to install the release build 19A346. You can confirm this build in the About settingsI installed the iOS 15 Beta release candidate when it came out, I always install the release candidate/gold master every year so I can get used to it a few days early, then I just remove the beta profile and stick to official updates after that. Today I was prompted for an update on my iPhone 12 mini that was about 500+ MB so I installed it expecting it to be something like 15.01. I installed it and it still says 15.0 but the feedback app from the beta is gone, just like every other time Ive done this.
Does anyone know what this update was for seeing as it didn't warrant a version number ?.
Thanks in advance.

You said you installed the RC from last week, the public release on Monday was a newer build, likely for the Pegasus fix. That’s what that update was.I installed the iOS 15 Beta release candidate when it came out, I always install the release candidate/gold master every year so I can get used to it a few days early, then I just remove the beta profile and stick to official updates after that. Usually small tweaks or minor bug fixes that are important enough to be pushed now but not important enough to make note of. I know a lot of people on the RC were having multiple issues with Apple Music, which the latest revision fixes, for example.I installed the iOS 15 Beta release candidate when it came out, I always install the release candidate/gold master every year so I can get used to it a few days early, then I just remove the beta profile and stick to official updates after that. is it me, but backing up iPhone with iOS 15.1 beta 1 on macOS 12.0 beta 1 to Mac, not iCloud takes for ever.
Actually backing up to iCloud seems faster than backing up to the Mac!
Local backups to a Mac include a lot of data that an iCloud backup does not (or that is synced to iCloud via another method, such as Photos or Apple Music libraries). That, and USB sync/backup over a Lightning cable is limited to USB 2.0 speeds.is it me, but backing up iPhone with iOS 15.1 beta 1 on macOS 12.0 beta 1 to Mac, not iCloud takes for ever.

macOS does support 'delta' backups of iOS/iPadOS devices, replacing only content that has changed since the last backup.that explains it. Interesting the first backup took for ever the 2nd backup went much faster!
Actually iPhone to iPhone connection is way faster to me using the lightning to usb camera dongle to connect both iPhone. It’s basically an exact clone.is it me, but backing up iPhone with iOS 15.1 beta 1 on macOS 12.0 beta 1 to Mac, not iCloud takes for ever.

Local backups include the full contents of the device's Photos, Music, and TV libraries, as well as passwords and app credentials that iCloud does not back up (as long as the local backup is encrypted).I don't think local backups copy a lot more data than when backing up to iCloud, but as we're running betas there's a load of diagnostics files that sit on the phone waiting to sync. If you've not connected your phone to a laptop in a while (cable or WiFi) then they can take a long time to copy over.
mY NEW 13 pro Max is still trying to install the 15.1 (it just spins at install). Sigh. For those wondering, iOS 15.1 beta is available on the new iPhones. I saw that too. I wish I would have known ahead of time. It would have saved me some time, lol.I'm using the iPhone-to-iPhone migration from my 12 Pro Max running 15.1b1, and the 13 Pro actually prompted me to 'continue' in the developer beta program with the new iPhone — it downloaded and installed the 15.1 beta with no issues. Maybe I caught the update server at relatively low loading or something...
