I'm still on 14.8, do you think 15.1 is finally stable enough to update?
I usually wait till the x.2 or x.3 update or around Christmas time. By then they are usually into polishing mode with the OS and done cramming in all the new features. I’ve been burned too many times! Stick to this method and you will have a relatively bug free experience!

If I say “full stop paragraph”
I get “. Paragraph”

and yes, it adds a paragraph after I ask for just a “.”

Sorry. Completely missed your last sentence.

Really appreciate you checking up for me, it just amazes me that they still haven’t fixed this instantly reproducible issue, especially considering they promised it would be fixed last year

I guess if it affected the US it would’ve been sorted by now. Thanks again. (fun fact: every paragraph in this reply I didn’t ask for)

  • Battery algorithms updated on iPhone 12 models to better estimate battery capacity over time
Emm, sabotage your iPhone 12 battery health further so you might upgrade?
Maybe it fixed the massive decline that some people including myself saw when updating to iOS 15? When I had my 12 Pro Max my battery went from like 98% health to 89% when I put iOS 15 beta on.

My storage seems to have fixed itself all of the sudden. My photo library went from nearly 40 GB to 5 GB (on device).

however, it still takes forever to load

edit: nevermind

STILL not fixed. Now it claims my photo library is bigger than my total storage

Noticed something after updating to 15.1 rc. Siri answers ”Something went wrong, try again later” (in Swedish)

Can anyone confirm?

All good here. Maybe restart your devices?
Is it possible that it’s a problem on Apples side? It works sporadically… and now she uses different ”excuses” that she ’s not working.

Have no network problems and all my settings are as they should

Certainly can’t rule out an issue at Apple’s end but I wouldn’t have thought so. I don’t know what else to suggest but have you restarted your broadband router as well?

  • Focus mode "until end of current event" doesn't sync to other devices. In fact, it will turn off focus modes on other devices. Feedback logged. I think this bug has always existed but I only noticed it recently.

  • Calendar widget removes events after 15 minutes. (Yes, I logged this in August 2020 and it says potential fix in iOS 14!)

  • It's not possible to block "Emergency Contacts" from breaking through a Focus mode. So any emergency contact you want in the Health app will always be able to contact you.

  • Homekit often loses connection to Hue lights; toggling WiFi fixes it temporarily. This has improved over the last few betas but is still not totally reliable. (The Hue app can always see the lights, so it's a Homekit issue.)

  • Opening Mail from a notification often opens the inbox only for that account, and not the All Inboxes mailbox that was last used.

Nothing too major. Quite happy with iOS 15.

Is it worth upgrading to RC from 15.0.2 or just wait for full public release.

Did not bother jumping on beta train this time.
If you have limited internet data just wait in case Apple sends out a different build on Monday (Possible). Otherwise update as this is most likely what we will get Monday anyway and you wont have to wait. Plus that gives you a window to go back to 15.0.2 if you want to.

Anyone knows how this performs on the A12? (I have an XR)

I downgraded to 14.8 from 15.0, as performance was not good at all.
Wonderfully! Seems the XR doesn't have all these random issues being reported all over the place. No 120hz issues, no app store jitters, no storage miscalculation issues, No reachability jitters, etc. I am seeing no performance issues different than 14.8 as far as I can tell. Working fine for me.

Has touch registration been fixed in the RC? Any changes for battery usage, where iOS is not over reporting the battery percentage?

That's what I did in the last 3-4 years, but every year I hope I can update sooner 😁

Installing the RC from an ipsw, my photos library reset the people folder and the curation layout. It redid all of it after being connected to the charger for a few hours. Anyone else?
It happened to me when updating by OTA. In the ios 15 betas, every time I updated I restored apps and photos, and that was all updating by OTA. When I use IPSW files in the stable versions, I did once about the photos and another time to restore all the apps and ask for the login again in all of them. The truth is that depending on how you decide, you do some things or others, but doing everything well without problems, I have only succeeded on two occasions.
