AppleTV4K (1st gen) updated to v15.3. No noticeable changes to anything I see. That device is also a HomeKit hub for me so I’m sure I’ll have to reset every freaking HK device in the house to avoid the dreaded “No Response” banner on each device’s icon. Joy abounds.

Just curious but if everything is running great and snappy etc why would you want to wipe and reinstall and go through all that trouble? Potentially introducing problems that you don’t currently have.

I always do it at the end of beta cycle. Just a spring clean really to clear out any beta remanence or apps being twitchy, ready for a new beta train.

Something nice about the iOS going on fresh and all your apps re downloading fresh that keeps your phone in tip top condition.

That and using IPSWs all the time, has reduced bugs and issues on my phone compared to what goes on on here by a noticeable amount.

??

I’ve found I’ve had a minimum of bug/issues by doing the simplest (OTA always) installations and not coming here to read through all the angst, which is highly amusing though when I do. I have to say 15 in all has been one of the most problem free releases in some time. Out of our 4 four devices I don’t think we’ve had anything to complain about, other than occasional iCloud glitches which aren’t ios related. I use the betas, my wife only uses the general releases. OTA installations have been eezy peezy. But it’s still entertaining, and distracting in the current state of the world, to read through the posts here!:)

Let us know if the calling icon from the Contact Info on Messages is still buggy, or it is consistently fixed. Thank you!
As of this morning I am not seeing the issue with Messages/Contact Info. This is for both iOS and Android.
Keeping fingers crossed. Have had texts from 10 different folks so far. Some of these had the issue previously.

Your on to a winner there then. But sometimes, at some point, you’ll need that IPSW power ??

The two apps that had slow responsive top left corners, haven’t had an update, the corners now are responsive.

That’s down to ether the release 15.3 or just a fresh install using IPSW.

I use IPSW for every beta, so I’m guessing it’s the new build. IP12.

I am sure this isn't my imagination. In the beta, including the RC, my touch registration issues were virtually eliminated, now with the official release they are annoyingly back. I did all updates OTA. WTH?

Took the plunge from 15.1 last night and all seemingly snappy. Going to wait till the weekend before I start using Apple Music to see if that dreaded bug remains. All good so far.

Other members have been reporting the same issue now, and throughout the beta. From what I have read, it seems to be less of an issue compared to 15.2.X but it is not fixed yet.

Yes, I know that, but between 15.3 RC and 15.3 official, it has gotten worse for me. In the 15.3 beta and RC, it was almost eliminated. My point being why should it have gotten worse between the RC and official release?

I agree completely, that would seem odd but bugs like to work in weird ways. Have you tried a force restart? Supposedly, that helps with the issue.

Lovely...the storage bug on the last update is now included on 15.3 on my ipp 12.9 v3, ipX, ipXS.
If you don't mind me asking, are all of those devices been jumped on the beta train recently? If so, any device you are willing to do a clean install from an IPSW file? The only reason I ask is because from what I have seen through review videos, and comments on here the last few months, it seems that those who have not used the beta are not seeing this issue as much, if at all compared to beta testers. Personally, I have never seen this issue on 2 Iphone 12 Pros, and 1 ipad air 2. When I stopped beta testing, I clean installed and did not restore the backup because of weird issues.

Okay, that is a darn shame. I wonder what the silver lining is then. Even watching Aaron Zollo, he said he couldn't confirm but that the bug was fixed on his end. Sometimes it may load slower but should be accurate once it does load.

Seems very smooth and fast to me. Also the CarPlay music bug that came with 15.2 has been fixed. When carplay starts it goes right to music (if last thing) rather than top music menu screen.

13 ProMax.
Some oddball items.

Notifications is still wonky at best. Sometimes I get sound. Sometimes I don't.

My Apple Watch is getting double calendar alerts. Why? I don't know.

The Touch Bug seems to better ... maybe. If you make the upper left corner 1,1 and the lower right corner 6,4, I have had to double tap or more apps to launch 4x today.
Positions Page 4 - 1,1 Quakefeed, Page 2 - 3,2 Hiya, Page 1 - 3,1 Weather, Page 1 - 3,4 Maps. I'm sure there will be more. So far not seeing any commonalities but that's the way it has been for 15.3 betas too.

more later.....

It’s simply because I haven’t done a full wipe and fresh install for a long time now. And, with 15.3 being a new release I’d be wiping and setting up as new starting with the new 15.3 release. For me, performing a wipe and fresh install is saving potential issues further down the road. I’d usually perform a wipe and fresh install every few months. It’s been 18 months since my last wipe and fresh install and that’s way too long for me even with things running great at the moment.

At some point I’ll need to perform a wipe and fresh install of iOS that’s just good maintenance of phone and operating system. So, I’d rather do it now whilst I already know that 15.3 will be running great after the wipe and fresh install. Then I’ll know that I’ve got rid of any junk files, old config files etc. once I’ve done so I think I’ll just start performing a full wipe and fresh install with each major iOS update. So iOS 16 will be the next time I wipe and fresh install.

I prefer to know that my system is fresh, clean and junk free rather than just keep upgrading for years. 15.3 seems solid so far, so it will be a good base to start fresh from.
