Cell issues have been spotty for some users for awhile now. It seems that Apple keeps updating the modem trying to tweak it to get better results. I believe the issue ultimately comes down to Apple's issues along with specific carriers. With that said, I am not saying to be a beta tester but if it means anything, 15.5 b1 did include another modem update.

The issue drove me crazy enough I jumped to 15.5 the real test will be tomorrow at work. That seems to be the worst.

I'm still pretty irritated. For 6 months, the 13 Pro has been disappointingly choppy when compared to other higher refresh rate Android phones on the market. They finally fixed that with 15.4. Then immediately reverted to almost as choppy with 15.4.1.

For the love of god Apple, just give me a smooth phone. You know what's smoother? A $300 Windows 11 laptop. A $400 Android. My $1,000 phone should visually run laps around them, but it doesn't.

Does anyone know if they fixed the duplication of devices in the health app after restoring the iPhone via iCloud backup?

Noticed a glitch or bug today. The face unlock unlocked but stayed on that screen with the open padlock for many many minutes until I had to manually swipe or lock the screen back with power button.
How recently did it change on your end? From what I can remember, it has always been this way on my 12 Pro, even back on the iOS 14 days.

First time Ive noticed this occurance to be honest. I often pick up my iPhone and inadvertently face unlock it and leave it to one side without swiping to open screen.

That is interesting. Everything I can find online mentions that this is a required thing that can't be completely bypassed. One workaround though is to enable either double or triple backtap to go to the home screen.

You would authenticate with FaceID, then double/triple tap the back of the phone to go to the homescreen. This would effectively mitigate the requirement of swiping up.

I remember back before FaceID, there was an option to go straight to the homescreen, or to stay on the lock screen with the lock set to unlocked. I don't think that such setting exists on the FaceID models.

Not a glitch nor a bug... it's how it's always worked...

So why doesn't it behave like this all the time? Plus the Apple links on how to use FaceID and what it does doesn't address my earlier post. Next time read before responding and request clarification if neccessary . thank you.

I'll clarify, the Lock Screen stays lit up indefinitely and won't turn off and go back into standby screen off status . I am not claiming that it should go straight into the Home Screen, I am stating it stays stuck with screen on unless I swipe or press the power button. Capish?🤣

Okay, my mistake. It certainly should not stay lit past the screen off time limit. One thing you can try is to change the lock timeout time, then change it back(if set to what you want already).

Additionally, if you type this into any browser, you can submit feedback of this issue to Apple;

That’s the intended behavior of Face ID. You need to manually swipe up to unlock once the biometrics are done.

You probably have the “Attention Aware” for Face ID turned ON. If the iPhone detects that you’re looking at it, it the screen stays ON.
Try this test. Tap on the screen without looking at your iPhone and see how long the screen stays ON. It’d turn off rather quickly if no further action is taken.
One more test would be to look away as soon as your iPhone’s unlocked without swiping up. It’ll turn off in seconds.

No, the attention aware is off. Plus I wasn't looking at the iPhone, I had picked it up placed it to one side of my desk , the screen stayed on with padlock showing unlocked indefinitely.
The issue is intermittent. It won't behave like this all the time.

Noticed a weird bug that when playing music from my phone on my HomePod the locking sound goes to max volume ??‍♂️

Also, had MUCH better battery on 15.4…

Thanks for your help, the attention aware is off. I checked again just now. Its a glitch, happens rarely so no biggie.
I was curious so I just checked this on my 13 Pro Max. I do have attention aware and attention for Face ID both enabled. Once Face ID unlocks the phone, if I don’t touch it it will go dark and lock again within about 20 seconds even with me looking straight at it. So your situation is definitely a glitch.

And he knows that, but if he doesn’t swipe up then his iphone screen should turn off again within seconds. That’s not happening: the screen stays on with the open padlock icon indefinitely, which is certainly abnormal (he clarified this in a later post).
